Glad that November is over. It was not a very healthy eating and exercise month for me.
Looking forward to December and a new start and new challenge.

Sorry I haven't really been here much...it's been a crazy hectic week...lol We've been moving my parents into their new apartment. I have spent most of today and yesterday cleaning my house back up for the holiday tomorrow...and getting ready to decorate for Christmas. My schedule for the next couple of days is weird and hectic but hopefully I'll get a chance to chat with everyone. If I don't get a chance to tell you....

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

I hope that you all have a great holiday with your families.

God Bless!

Good for you Katie!
I'm back on track this week also, doesn't it feel good??? I have to run today 'cause my local Sparkspeople group (Torrance Sparkers) are running a 10K Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving. There are about 10 of us... Doesn't that sound like fun? And a great way to get negative calories before the feast! Just need to get through that pumpkin pie temptation...

Hi Everyone. I have been away from Spark for quite awhile now. I was busy selling my house, packing and moving to another state. Needless to say, my eating and my exercise suffered. Ate all the wrong things and too much of them and did very little workout.
But now that I am settled at the new place I am getting back to a healthier lifestyle. Started back at the gym today and am going to eat healthier and a lot smaller portion.

I am so grateful that I have finally accepted my body as it looks now. I may not like it, but at least I don't hate myself because of it. I am grateful that I can still healthy and can start a more aggressive exercise and eating routine. I am grateful for finally accepting myself for who I am on the inside and not let the outside appearance completely put me under! It's my time to love my body back to being thin and fit!

Yes, I am grateful for my body, more now than ever. Since I have hit 50yo, am I appreciating it more every day! Those days of immortalility are gone. I am choosing to take care to think about how my actions are helping or hurting my temple.

This is the one body I have to make it to my 90's. No time like NOW to care for it! Hugs, Cat

Ladies,

Are you giving thanks for your bodies? If not, it's not too late to do so! Please share what you are doing to give thanks this month! I am giving thanks, because I am in the middle of a detox and my clothes are fitting better. Now, I have to get back to increasing my water intake. Actually, I want to get it back to where it was: (10) 8-oz. of water. Plus, I am thank for eating clean these past few days. However, I had one cheat day on Friday! But, I am back to eating clean! So, I am very thankful for having the ability to watch what I eat!

Great job, CAT! That's great! I didn't end up working out on Friday... got too crunched for time. But I did get the 30 day shred DVD... did that Saturday and Sunday. I also did a 5 mile walk on Saturday... It felt great! I am so sore now! I really want to keep it up and see those pounds fly off!!! emoticon

Hey Jessica - Well done today! Just think, if that video gets you sweating you may burn 400+ calories! Hooray for you as well as the frustration factor, haha.

I'm back in town tonight and just coming over the Sepulved Pass I felt the need to eat something just to eat (I was not hungry). Weird. Is it this fast paced stressed out westside/southbay that we eat to calm down? Hmmm, worthy of a masters thesis. Anyhow, while slowing down in central CA, I was really good. Went for a run and my heart rate monitor said 950 calories burned! Whaaa? Could not believe it, but think it may be true. "Keep up the cardio...." & keep up the good work all! Cath

Well, yesterday I had a dinner date and I ended up going about 200 calories over my high end... But I am thankful I have enough food to eat! I didn't workout either because of how late I got home... But I'm doing well with calories today... Actually about 200 under my low end if I stick to my dinner plan. I will do another video tonight... probably kickboxing to take out my frustrations from today!

How is everybody else doing with this challenge?

Checking in. Today is a good day. Going out of town for a few days and have planned how to move my body and eat wisely. Hoping when I get back that scale needle will budge. I'm at my major plateau that has taken weeks to break in past.

Today I will go to gym before I leave town and packing my running tights! Have a motivational CD to listen to in car (aww shucks, will have to miss the election coverage!). You gurls keep up the good work... Cat

1. I've been wogging (walk/jog), swimming, playing sports with the kiddo and I'm thankful for all of these activities I enjoy. I'm going to see if I can try out a zumba class this month.

2. I've recently started a strength training program and I'm thankful it's got me scheduled three times a week.

3. I'm thankful that I enjoy cooking and will try to get my young daughter more involved in that this month.

4. I'm thankful for the no-cal/lo-cal water enhancers that have allowed me to increase my water intake.

5. I plan to make dinners with the kind of leftovers I know I'll actually eat. Again I'll be thankful that I have the ability to cook.

6. Tougher to find something for relaxation. I'll have to think about it.

Well, after posting last night I decided that I needed to be grateful for my body, and give it a great workout! I did my Crunch - Yoga Pilates Blend video... Love that one! My core is very sore today! I will do my cardio dance video tonight!

Can you all believe it's November already?!

Hi, I'm back it's been a long time but here I am with a vengence. All of my families problems had me putting myself on the back burner. Now that the daughter and grandkids are gone and so is the husband I can now concentrate on me. I am ready for this months challenge.

Ladies,

Today starts November's challenge, which consist of giving thanks for being Women on a Mission.

1. Let's give thanks for the ability to move and variety. Get up and get moving through exercise for at least 45-minutes for 3 days a week. Try a different form of exercise this month. Try pilates or yoga! Try a spinning class, if you can.

2. Let's give thanks this month for strenth. Commit to 2 days a week of strength training this month.

3. Let's give thanks this month for eating whole foods. Do not reach for anything processed, reach for those fruits and veggies that have been produced naturally.

4. Let's give thanks this month for clean water. Strive to drink 8-10 8-oz. of water.

5. Let's give thanks this month for organization. Plan your day. Make your lunch or cook a special dinner for yourself and loved ones, instead of going out. Save some money!

6. Let's give thanks this month for relaxation. Do something special for yourself this month. You are worth it! Read a book, take a bath, get a massage!

Ladies, this is our time to give thanks for being who we are created to be! Happy Thanksgiving Ladies, all month long!
