I have had a great time, but I'm flying home today. It is the first time I've ever flown so I'm a bit nervous. I can't wait to get home and see the family. It will be nice to get back to my regular eating routine too. I'm hoping I didn't gain too much while I've been here.

Have a great day everyone!

God Bless!

It has been a busy week..but I will be home Monday..and back to my normal routine. It's hard to eat right when you have to eat out so much, but I'm trying. I have been getting to the gym everyday, so I've at least kept up with that. Thankfully today is a more relaxed day and I'll even get some sight seeing in...take lots of pictures.

Have a great day!

I've still been falling down over myself on the snacking. But I've just finished a long training plan for the half marathon I ran this morning so I decided to cut myself a little slack. Don't want the body to think it's in starvation mode.

Hello everyone. I have so missed y'all. My working vacation is going great. I am loving Tennessee and Kentucky. We spent 12 hours in Nashville on Monday. We went to music row, met the LowCash Cowboys (country group)..got invited to their show, spent a little time in the clubs listening to live music, bought some souvenires and I ate pork BBQ at Jack's BBQ (which they say is world famous). It was not a great day for my calorie range, but it wasn't too bad either..the hours of walking sure had to have helped...lol I can't wait to get back and share with y'all.

Many Blessings!

ROSIEJP ~ I hurt my knee earlier in the year and I agree it was very frustrating. I know it goes without saying but be careful.

emoticon 30 Day Shred - made it part of my 1/2 marathon training for today

emoticon No eating after 8pm. Just drinking the H2O.

emoticon I did make bad snacking choices today. I'm going to throw away the rest of the offending item and resolve not to buy anymore of it.

Last month was pretty frustrating for me between the stress of school and my knee injury. Hoping that I can make progress, even if my ability to do intense activity is still limited.

1) Cardio 3-4x week (walking or elliptical)
2) Work on staying in calorie range and reducing carb consumption
3) Eat out less and bring my lunch to school as much as possible
4) Try to get at least 6 hours sleep per night

You reminded me, too, that I can get video's from the library and that my blockbuster online account can be for more than just sitting around with a bowl of popcorn! lol

MMANNEY ~ I've not posted with this team for a while, either. The 30 Day Shred is kickin' my butt! I've done four days so far at level one and it's 20 minutes are leaving me a sweaty, shaky puddle. I've heard of people being able to check it out at their library, through Netflix or being able to catch levels 1/2 on Exercise TV so you may not have to shell out before you've seen it. Good luck on the consistency - I've been seeing this confirmed a lot lately. If you don't put in the effort then don't expect the results. I never lost more than 5 or 6 pounds until I started putting in more time for exercise and eating better. Wishing you good things and great results.

Heppme, you have to let me know how you like the 30 Day shred DVD...I just saw that and was considering getting it. How's it been going so far?

I haven't done a challenge with this team in a while so this is just as good a time as any to get back into it.

I have 2 main goals.

Consistancy (I'm so random with my exercise and good eating habits right now... emoticon ) -- This means doing September's challenge goals. I need to keep up that schedule (at a minimum) for the next 4 weeks.

I would leave it at one goal, but I *need* to do this second one. Water, water, water!! I'm not keeping myself well hydrated. I'm aiming for 8 cups a day minimum with a target of 10 cups.

My Fall into Action Plan this month (October):

Complete the full cycle of the 30 Day Shred DVD by Jillian Michaels

Continue walk/jog training for 1/2 Marathon in October and then the Walk for Diabetes 5k in November

Eat clean. Or in my case, cut out the snack craze!! I eat clean most of the time already.

Finish eating by 8pm daily

Ladies,

This Sunday starts our Fall Into Action Challenge! With the changing of the season, we needs to make some changes as well. Your challenge this month is to come up with a specific area you would like to change as it pertains to your personal health. For example, you may want to challenge yourself to eat clean this month. You may want to add an extra day for strength training this month. Maybe you want to add to October's challenge, while maintaining what was being done. Or maybe, you want to really focus in on getting some significant rest this month by adding an hour to your sleep. This is your opportunity to fall into action as it pertains to your well-being. This challenge will go until Saturday November 1st.

In case you want to add to last month's challenge, here's September's challenge:

Three Cardio Sessions per week: Complete one 30-minute session, one 35-minute session and one 45-minute session every week.

Bonus Cardio Session: Either a 30-minute cross training session (swimming, biking, yoga, walking, running, etc.) or a 30-minute high-intensity interval training session every week.

Two Strength Training Sessions per week: Complete 2 25-minute total-body strength training sessions every week.

Bonus Strength Training Session: Complete a third day of a 25-minute total-body strength training session every week.

Eating: Eat clean and eat every three hours. Select a time when you will be done eating for the day: 7:00 pm, 8:00 pm, or 9:00 pm.

So, with the changes of the leaves, what permanent changes do you want to make? Please share with us and we will post how we are progressing as well during the month. Ladies, if you want to continue to post your workouts, please do so.

Let's have fun this month and make some serious changes that we can make by November 1st!

Stevie
