Hi everyone. I went passed my cardio goal today 753/720. I got in 300 mins over the weekend as part of another challenge.

I haven't eaten after 8 since the start of thischallenge, not doing so well with staying within my calories though.

Great work everyone.

Hi everyone. I'm new here. My first goal is to get out of the OBESE BMI range. I believe that's about 10 pounds away.

Goals for the rest of January:
1) Water, at least 8 glasses
2) Exercise 5x per week cardio, 2x weights
3) track food intake

Well, I got to the gym last night! YAY! I didn't work as hard as I could have, but I do need to ease back into things! I worked out for 40 minutes, cardio and strength training.

Stats:
40/700 minutes completed
I have not tried a new recipe yet this week and yesterday I did have a small cookie and a box of junior mints. But that's not sooo bad!

I've got personal training tonight so I will be getting in about 80 minutes of exercise in.

DROPTHEWEIGHT64,

Great job! Keep it up, girlfriend. You are amazing!

Ladies, I pushed myself with increasing my weights. Oh my goodness, my entire body aches. Ouch! However, I was on my Treadclimber and noticed my hips slimming down once more. emoticon

So, keep it up, Women on a Mission! We are well on our way to achieving those bodies we want to have this year!

Happy Thursday, everyone! I hope everyone is doing well and doing well with reaching goals today!

I did a little bit of working out at home last night, but I don't want to log it because I don't feel like I gave it my best. It was a sorry excuse for exercise. But today I am going to the gym and I am going to kick some butt! I will post again afterward!

Have a great day everyone!

SASH, Great job! You go girlfriend. Keep up the great work!

Lynsey, I completely understand how you feel with those migraines. Ugh! Make sure you are getting enough rest and water! Hang in there!

I joined a "Pushing Yourself" challenge. Yesterday, Tuesday, I pushed myself with my weights. I know I am going to feel this workout today, but it is definitely worth it!

Ladies, keep reaching for your goals. We can do this!

Well, due to a day long migrane I did not make it to the gym yesterday. I did cut my sweets and stayed just below my calories for the day. I'm going to collect recipes today and go to Costco to load up on healthy foods! I'm hoping to get in a workout video tonight...

Not much progress to report...I hurt my knee exercising last Sunday and have been in a brace and a FUNK all week! I thought, just as I get in the flow of exercise again after years of nothing regular, something happens to slow me down. So, I did what we know is NOT the thing to do...I stopped exercising altogether and only minimally tracked what I ate. So now I'm finished beating myself up and the pity party is over! I'm going to start tracking again today and exercise my upper body!

Hi all,

I've found that I'm spending too much time reporting on SP--I'm in several teams & challenges. Time to simplify: I'll be leaving this team & probably another one. But I'll keep exercising, trying to make my goals, & reporting to my original team. Wishing you all the best!

Wow, last week was not a week for exercise (for me) but I'm back and still tracking:

My exercise goal is 1000 minutes this month
Mini goal 1: to track my meals
Mini goal 2: to drink 8 glasses of water each day

1000/60 today/820 to go

Doubt I'll meet the challenge but I'd like to get close!

Sorry I haven't been around much-trying to catch up on my sleep after my night shifts.

I've done 333/720 cardio minutes. I went on the treadmill on Tuesday as part of a 10k challenge. My hip has been hurting since so I haven't done very much since.

This week I haven't eaten after 8 and apart from Monday and today I've kept within my calories.
Have a great weekend all

Steph. sorry to hear you are under the weather. I too am sick with cold and sore throat so no gym today. Hopefully, later, if I feel better I can do some E at home. If not, I will just take the day off and try tomorrow.

Mary Beth,

Thank you! I feel a little bit better. The weather has been crazy here in OH. By this weekend, it is supposed to be back to normal in the 30s with snow! Ugh! I just have to get back into the flow. So, I am taking my time, while getting some serious rest in the process.

Thanks again!

Had a pretty good day! Got a 30 minute walk/jog in this morning, met my caloric intake, had all my water and took all my supplements and most importantly, didn't make excuses this morning when I wanted to stay in bed instead of getting up to exercise! Keep up the good work girls!

I had an okay day today. I'm trying to figure out how to balance things with my new class schedule which is proving to be very busy, especially with one night class. Definitely ended up eating more than I should have today after class.

Steph - I hope you're feeling better by now! There have been some nasty bugs going around (my husband has been miserable for more than a week now). Take care of yourself!

Cindy - I hear you on the junk food calling to you at work. I ended up asking my co-workers to help me out by "hiding" the "stash" just until I was more grounded and set in my good habits. The best trick I learned was to NEVER take change or ones to work. No vending temptations! I also posted a "friends don't let friends eat junk" sign that got lots of chuckles and some slightly annoying new accountability partners.

Way to go, all!!! Keep up the good work!

Steph, I see you've started a new topic--I hope that means you're feeling better.

I tried posting here yesterday, but for some reason it wouldn't work. Hope it works for me now.

I had an incredibly busy, social weekend with my dad visiting from Arkansas & a celebration of my little niece's birthday. Let's see if I can catch up with reporting here.

Jan. 4
Exercise 600; 20; 520
Protein no
Bedtime n/a (the rule applies only to Sunday-Thursday)

Jan. 5
Exercise 600; 25; 495
Protein no
Bedtime n/a

Jan. 6
Exercise 600; 62; 433
Protein YES!
Bedtime YES!

Notice my LONG exercise session. I don't even usually exercise on Sundays, but the weather turned unseasonably balmy & I went on a long run/walk--covered about 5 miles. I'm so proud of myself!

Jan. 7
Exercise none
Protein YES!
Bedtime YES!

1/5/08- No exercise, 64 oz water, 5 fruit/veggie servings

I'm realizing that if I don't get my exercise in first thing in the morning then it is really hard to find the time between family, household, and work obligations.

JANUARY 2008 GOALS
720 exercise minutes(EX)
1500 oz water (WA)
150 fruit/veggie servings (FV)

okay after a week of trying to get this plan in place my goals are:
1 to exercise on days I have planned and to ensure on the days that are strength training to do that.
2. to not eat junk at work on days I am working. that is my hardest challenge. seems to just draw me to it.

Ladies,

How is everyone doing? I pray everyone is doing well with your New Year, New Beginnings, New You Challenge. Unfortunately, I have been sick for about 4 days now and haven't had much of an appetite lately. I actually had a 102-degree fever! Ugh! I will be resting on tomorrow in order to get ready for another week!

Ladies, stay encouraged and remember you are worth the time and effort. Whether that's getting more rest in your day or eating better. So, go for it, because you are so worth it, you wonderful women!

Go for the gusto!

Steph

Report for Friday 1/4/08:

EXERCISE: none (720/0/630)

WATER: 24 oz. (1500/24/1360)

FRUIT/VEGGIES: 4 servings (150/4/131)

Not a great day but I'm going to get back on track today. Being busy and out of the house all day yesterday made it much harder to focus on my goals. Any tips?
