Hi broke my 30 day streak of no cakes with a mince pie early this morning at work. Will start again with my streaks tomorrow.On day 31 of no biscuits though. I think I'll have a treat at the end of each month just to keep me motivated.

I'm in the same boat ladies! Today was the first day I didn't go over calories in some time, but I also didn't do any activity.

I'm heading out of town with some friends, so we'll see how my eating goes over the next few days.

Same here-I'm looking forward to getting my act together for 2008. I really wish I hadn't broken my streak with the chocolate-can't seem to stop eating them:( It could have been worse I could have broken my cake and biscuit streak-I would have been in serious trouble then!

Glad I've inspired you. You can do it.
On day 27 of no cakes and biscuits, think I'll start the chocolate and crisps streak properly on New Years day. Had some crisps but no chocolate. I found once I had one I couldn't stop eating them.( 9/17 for staying within calories and 8/17 for not eating after 8

Rosie-hope you can work things out with your calories. I'm having a similar problem with keeping within my calories.
On day 22 of no chocolate, cakes, biscuits and crisps. 9/12 for staying within calories and 8/12 for not eating after 8

Since I last posted, I was in calorie range one day and out, the other. This puts me at 10/20 during the month. I really need to figure out what is making it so hard for me to stay in range. I used to be much better at this!

On day 19.Didn't have time for a proper meal so have spent the evening snacking on toast. Calories 8/10. not snacking after 8 7/10.

I agree. Awesome job Cher!

I'm not doing as well with the challenge. I went to my office holiday party tonight and ate too much. Totally negated the killer workout I had this afternoon. This puts me at 9/18 during the challenge. I'm finding that I'm good with activity, but horrible with managing my eating.

Hi everyone.
On day 18 of no sugary food and crisps, even went with out desserts on Saturday at the church Christmas party, but still went over my calories. Have been on a 3 day streak of staying within my calories(8/9) and not eating after 8 pm (7/9)

I'm back on it today! I got to the gym, cleaned my house, had a friend over for dinner, and still managed to stay in my range for the day.

Well, broke my streak yesterday. Went to three parties yesterday. Didn't have anything at the first, had an ok dinner and some ice cream plus two drinks at the second, and way too many drinks at the third. Oh well, will start again tomorrow. Had a great time though!

Yesterday was day 13 of my sugary things and crisp ban, but had to start my streaks for calories and not eating after 8. Wednesday I didn't have time to eat a proper meal in the evening so ended up snacking through till bedtime.

So yesterday was day 4/5 for staying within calories and 3/5 for not eating after 8.

I stayed in my range today, so I've been able to do it three days for a row. I'm 7/11 during the challenge.

Today I stayed within my calorie range, so I am 5/9 for the month. This is the beginning of a new streak!

I haven't had much of a chance to reward myself for meeting my goal last week. I'm finishing up the first semester of my doctoral program and we're in crunch time. If anything, I think I deserved the 8 hours of sleep I got last night. It's rare now a days and it was so worth it!

Day four didn't go so well. Too many snacks this evening, was pretty hungry after my jingle bell run. Tomorrow is another day, I will try to do better. Congrats to all who are still on track and keep on working at it for those who are still trying. :)

Sounds like people are really getting on track!

Unfortunately, I haven't been as focused as I need to be. When the end of the semester hits, it's all about convenience food and today Chinese did me in. Definitely over today!

So 4/8 days in my calorie range. Tomorrow is a new day to refocus!

On day 8 today-will try and factor in a pampering session over the weekend as a reward.
Even though I've cut out the sugary things and crisps I've still been over my calories a couple of times, so will try a streak with that today.
We just have to keep trying.

I went over calories today. Going out to dinner with friends did me since I found myself picking at bread before my meal came. Need to plan for these events in advance.

On day 6 now of no cakes,chocolates, biscuits and crisps, though I was very tempted by some pringles and a chocolate chip muffin :)
I think I need another streak of not eating after my main meal as I went over my caloriesd yesterday due to night snacking :(

Almost stayed within my calorie range and then I had a diabetic reaction and had to eat which put me over. emoticon It was after I was done eating for the day which is a little bizzare. Prior to that I was in range.

Hi there. This is a good one for me as I've started my New Year's resolutions a month early because I tend to pile the pounds on over Christmas.I'm now on a 3 day streak of no refined sugars eg sweets, chocolate, biscuits, cakes. I've also included crisps as I tend to over compensate with them.

Haven't been around lately. I reached my weight loss goal and have slipped a little. So since this teams challenge is what helped me lose the weight to begin with, I am back for this challenge! My goal is to consistently stay within my calorie range. Been having a real hard time with that lately. Looking forward to giving myself some nice rewards though :)

Ladies,

I got this challenge from another team and thought it would be a great challenge for us. It is called a Christmas Streak Challenge.

The challenge consist of you picking a workout, eating, or spark-related goal, something you struggle with (wouldn't be much of a challenge if you already do it) and see how many days/weeks you can streak. Additionally, you will give yourself a reward or a gift at the end of the week for consistency for at least 3 times that particular week.

Just concentrate on only one goal and give yourself different gifts each week. Your gifts to yourself could vary from a bubble bath to a massage. The goal of this challenge is consistency and rewarding that consistency!

Ladies, we have 30 days left in this year! Let's go for it!
