Don't be too hard on yourself...give it your all the last few days of the month. March into March with an attitude of getting to your fitness minutes. YOU CAN DO IT!!!
I don't think I will make it to my goal of 1,000 minutes this month. I just don't see myself exercising for 80 minutes a day for the next 5 days!! LOL Ah well, I guess I can just try again next month...

I have the orginal. I would love to have the Ultra, but I don't know if it will be in the budget. I do the stairs at the doctor's office, and I started on the stair machine at the Y. So maybe it would be worth it if I kept up with that machine. I'm part of the fitbit group on here, but I didn't even think to check Facebook. I don't log other things into the fitbit website. I log food here, and don't like spending the time to re-log everything.

Yea! I don't have many fitbit friends! There's a fitbit group on Facebook too that is very active. The one on here isn't all that active (at least when I was there), and I haven't really spent any time at the forums.
Do you have the orginal or the Ultra? I recently upgraded to the Ultra although I rarely get any stairs in!

Yes! YES! Count EVERYTHING you do! Sparkpeople will only record up to 120 fitness minutes, so keep track if you go over that.
@ MY_5_Kids ~ I'm getting a FITBIT this weekend, CAN'T WAIT!! My brother bought one while on vacation and I'm Super Excited about it!! I love how you can compete against others...maybe I can friend you when I get mine??

I just count my 'exercise' minutes. I don't even count doing weights. My FitBit records ALL my activity though. But on here I am just putting my actual 'at the Y' exercising.

Are y'all counting non-workout activities for part of this challenge? For example, I spent ALL of Saturday cleaning, some heavy, some not so much; so I logged 30 minutes of heavy cleaning on my fitness tracker. And on Sunday, I logged 10 minutes of shoveling snow. Are you guys counting these types of minutes or not?

What a Great start to the New Year. Let's do a Fitness Challenge and track our daily fitness minutes. Commit to working out everyday, whether it's for 5 mins., 10 mins, or an hour.
Set a 'Fitness Minute' goal for the month.
This will be our Challenge thread. The Challenge will start Wednesday, February 1st. and end Wednesday, February 29th.
Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. The main goal for this challenge is to stay committed for the whole month.
