Now that I've spent an hour or so on the same futile exercise I've already tried once... for some reason I cannot connect a wireless router to my cousin's dsl. I have now tried it with her computer (useless piece of junk) and mine and still can't do it, so I'm going to have to get enough work to be able to invest in a wifi hub. ANYWAY... at least while I've got my computer connected I figured I'd close out April, and on a good note, if not where I hoped to be.

Char - that's really great! So proud of you doing the official 5K thing and how wonderful to come in under 35 minutes! Awesome!

No cardio yesterday. Worked from home - from 6am to 1pm and then did a few errands and drove to the beach -- girl's weekend. Went for a run this morning. Kinda flat & boring - ran along the road & not the ocean--but the miles are there. I'm in Gabarone! I'm looking around for the No. 1 Ladies Detective agency! Must be here somewhere.

Last fall we took a train from Chicago to Grand Junction, CO. It was really neat going across the Rockies from Denver to Grand Junction. I'm not sure how long that is but we could do some mountain walking to see the Rockies in the Spring.

Any ideas for our May destination. I keep picking places based on what I'm reading, but do you want me to keep on doing that.

- I just finished a mystery set in Kankakee, Illinois.
- I'm listening to something that started out with a train ride from London to Edinburgh.
The book on my nightstand is set in a fictional town in Arkansas, or at least I think it's fictional -- the Claire Malloy series by Joan Hess.
- Not sure what else is in my reading queue

I'm open for any ideas.

Hi Gang! Just wanted to check in. I was at my sister's house outside of Richmond, Va Wed-Saturday and then Sunday we drove to my cousin's place in Prince Frederick, MD. Now that I'm at my cousin's place and beginning to settle in I'm getting back to walking. Among my frustrations, though, is that there's no internet access at the house. I'm in DC today. So far I've been to the National Archives, to the Library of Congress, back to the National Archives, and now at a public library a few blocks away (hooray, internet access!). I'll head back to the National Archives and then home to Prince Frederick. I should hit around 6 miles today (its about a mile from her house to where I get the bus) and I got just over 4 in a couple of days ago... but I forgot to bring the attachment to download my mileage from my Garmin. I'll do that tomorrow (when I come back into town to go the National Archives - 2nd day of their annual genealogy fair). I may not make my goal this months, but I wanted to let you know that I have NOT disappeared!
