Well, we walked to a place named Valentine last year. Since February is also heart health month, what about going to somewhere named heart this month? Here are three:
Heart, Fulton County, Arkansas, U.S.A.
Heart Butte, Pondera County, Montana, U.S.A.
Heart Lake, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.

I've been walking or jogging or on the elliptical, but haven't posted. I did complete the mileage though.

I'll catch up on Monday when I can get to my Excel spreadsheet on the work computer.

Meanwhile, where does everyone want to walk in February?

Ann--we did get your cold, wet weather. I guess I should say thanks so much, but a cold front has come in so now everything has turned to snow. We got about 5-6" of snow on Saturday and another storm came in about an hour ago as it's snowing right now. Good news to have the snow pack in the mountains, bad news to drive in the slick stuff.

Buckets of rain today. Glad I got those miles in yesterday.

Bought some kale - first time ever - today and threw it in a big old pot of soup. Soup's a good thing on a day when rain comes down in buckets.

I'm only a little bit behind, which is really good for the week we've had. Melting started today. When I was out this morning the sidewalks were getting slushy - some to the point of being soupy. When I went out for a very few minutes this afternoon it was raining. Maybe by tomorrow it'll be a lot clearer.

According to the snow map I found, we got less than 3" of snow in the city. I think it was maybe 2" in my neighborhood. Some of the surrounding areas had MUCH more. Some of the areas a couple of hours south of us got more than 15". Jan, we've been too dry too. The runoff around here shouldn't be too bad, but those areas with a lot of snow are going to end up with way too much of the good thing. I hope that its not overwhelming when it heads your way! I got out and walked around the neighborhood taking pictures today.

I've been snowed in for the last 2 days which has made an impact on my mileage. Hopefully I'll be able to leave the house tomorrow and pick up some mileage walking to school and on the bike at the gym! I am confident that I will still be able to make my weekly 25 mile goal, it will just take some finessing.

They're predicting a couple of inches of snow for us tonight and 5-10 more tomorrow. This has been a crazy storm so far - its always worse in some parts of the city than others, but this one is socking in some neighborhoods and not touching others. By this time tomorrow half the city could be buried and the view out my window may be exactly the same as it is right now... which would be quite amusing.

A rest day today, more or less. Living in the south, I had an opportunity to rake a few leaves and I pulled some fallen tree limbs out of the natural areas around the yard and sawed the large pieces into a size that the town will pick up. Did some strength training. Now...football.
