Good job to everyone who walked this month. See you at the Tulip festival walk tomorrow. And thank to Owlwho for setting up that walk.

I did enough miles today on the elliptical to finish up with 90 miles for this month. Next month - I'm going to see about running more often.

Took the dog for a long walk around the yard last night, but with the wind blowing & gusting that was the best I could do! 15 times around the yard is 1 mile--just in case anyone wanted to know. Then I cleaned & cleaned to get rid of the germs in the house!

Joan, I think we should walk somewhere with lots of flowering plants, since they'll be virtual and you can enjoy them without having them set off your allergies. You'll definitely get that last 10th done. Given how things have been going, I may make that last 20+. Not that you can tell, but I've been trying to do less - not easy to do while training for a marathon.

Ah, Jan, I would never go to Disney with children that young. This year, with nephew now 12, was the first year we even went to the parks after dark. I saw so many miserable, tired and cranky children at the parks in the evenings who should have been back in their beds asleep!

Even when Nick was 8 we got a lot of rest time in, and a great deal of that was at his request. The whole place is so overwhelming for many reasons - lots of audio and visual stimulation and way too many people in the crowds.

Just got back from jogging into and around the nearby park. So, Kevin I'll meet you at the Bar Meeting to hoist a cold one - a large cooling glass of mineral water of course.

An espresso is a possibility after that at least for me.

And in the interest of trying to preserve my sanity, I left work about 20 minutes after my 3 to 5pm meeting ended. Yup a two hour meeting. Sigh... So I'm still sane! We'll see how long I can stick to that stress management technique. I was thinking as I was jogging that I need to set a goal to leave work at least two nights a week in order to run in the neighborhood & nearby park. If I can git the run in and done by 7pm it's still light out.

Had a great time at Disney with the nephew and my mom. It's always interesting to see what is different about the nephew each year. He's now 12, so what I gather is that you can't let your expression show you're having a good time, no matter how much fun you're having. (I did manage to catch him in a few smiles, and I could make him grin by speaking abominable French. He lived in Italy when he was a little boy and while he doesn't remember Italian, he is "wired" for languages and my French is limited and atrocious!) I have an excellent picture of him and me on Tower of Terror. I told him he had to have some kind of expression on his face - he couldn't look blank. So he has sort of an evil face on. I'll have to scan the picture.

We walked tons. We stayed within walking distance of Epcot and Hollywood Studios and one of our things was to walk over to Hollywood Studios after supper to ride Tower of Terror - yes, unpredictable drops on a full stomach. I must be a very indulgent aunt!

Welcome back, Joan! I bet you had a great time and are going to blow through the 82 mile goal you have set for the month.

Nice to see a consistent group of walker/stair climbers/elliptical users. I have been a slacker when it comes to logging on to SparkPeople lately, so when I get here, I am busy logging my food. Food seems to be my greatest obstacle. I love to eat! I also love to walk/exercise, so that is a good thing.

I don't have a biking goal (yet), but so far this month I have biked 36.3 miles.

I am disappointed that my walking mileage is so low, but when I list it here, I can see that I am active most days. That is a good thing!

Another horrifying day here for me. I did eat a mini size Kit-Kat bar, but I have also gotten back from a very intense session on the elliptical. Looking forward to my week long vacation that is coming if I can make it through noon on Friday.
