As of today I've walked 120 miles on my virtual walk through Scotland with 420 to go before I return to my starting point in Edinburgh.
This last week has been only a casual stroll around the ruins of Kilchurn Castle overlooking Loch Awe while I rest at a near by inn from surgery. But, I've enjoyed reading about it from a travel book and wondering what the area must have been like when my mother's family lived along Lock Awe during the time of King James I.
It's been centuries since our McClintock clan moved from Scotland first to Ireland then the United States. Maybe a historical fiction is brewing for me to write at a later date.
