Thanks my biggest problem issue is WATER---UGH------8 glasses---I have been using tea as water. I very rarely drink it. eating out I drink hot water with lemon at home it is tea.

Other ts getting in over 7 hours of sleep I would lo Beginning today love to get those in

SLEEP was 7 hours last night.

WATER--shooting for 8 just water Now this is a challenge.
THIS morning i was at 176. Eating more did nothing for me so I will get back to my old ways eating lower in the tracker. This time I will give the clear water a try. It has to be hot and a few drops of lemon are a must.
Thanks for the welcome.

Pat - it has been a joy having you join us in our challenge. We would love to have you reporting in for our May challenge as well. Just remember Self Improvement doesn't have to be about losing weight although that's the first thing we generally think of. Our challenges are for you to set your own goals. I see some good ones set for the month of May such as drinking more water, sleeping more hours a night and tracking our food intake.

You think about what you want to set for your May goal and post it in our new thread.

I hope to see all of you join us there!

Pat, You are more than welcome to join in our chatting. It is so good to get a different point of view on things. Hang in there and as long as the health issues are good, that is the main thing.

I became so frustrated thinking about the scales I blogged it yesterday. I really enjoyed getting to know you all. I have decided I will never join another weight loss challenge I thought I could get at least a pound off but I will weigh in tomorrow for sure I started on Wednesday and I will again on Wednesday. I would love to follow your May Self improvement if that is OK with you all.

I have been at this weight well over a year and closer to 2 but my health issues have all been well under control, Thanks to this site. I have always been heavy and I thought after all the exercise I do I would lose . I think it is not in the cards for me since I was told every week I am eating too little food. i have eaten in the higher part on my tracker and I did not lose I hope tomorrow I do not see a gain.
I have enjoyed your company. emoticon emoticon emoticon

I've gained and lost this month ending up at about the same weight. Given all that has been going on I think that's OK.

I think that even though the scale hasn't moved in the right direction, or any direction for some of us. This challenge has been a good one. It's making us more aware of the choices we make. WE don't just mindlessly put something in our mouth, we make a concious choice to eat it.
I didn't get my goal for this month either, but am happy to end on a nice loss. I'm hoping to continue on into next month with losses.
Hope to see everyone in the May challenge. emoticon

I guess I just wasn't posting enough on this thread as I quit getting email notices. That just goes to show I haven't had this challenge on the top of my mind.

March was great - April was so-so for me. I did not reach my May goal. The good news is I haven't gained back any I lost. I just wasn't focused this month.

I am happy for all those that had good losses and worked hard. You motivate me to want to do better in May. I will start a new team thread for our May Challenge. Any one that wants to join can follow me there tomorrow.

Hi, friends! Sorry I have been MIA. I am doing pretty well on the exercise; some sweets that I don't normally eat have been jumping in to my mouth! emoticon Some of you know my SD is here with us for a few months, getting back on to her feet, after a job change, divorce, etc. She is big on sweets - but that is no excuse for me! I even have frozen fruit in the freezer. I must get back on track...

My name is Tammy and I live in SW Missouri.

I am doing everything right, I even do all the heavy yard work since DH hip replacement should not be digging up clay just yet. I foolishly weighed myself and it was exactly the same I actually blogged it.
I have walked in the gardens with a friend and came home and spent 2 hours raking the grass and dead leaves and twigs.
I enjoyed talking with you I am so happy you have managed to lose some weight.

Pat, it sounds like your lunch was a real hit. I'm glad all enjoyed it. Good job on all the exercise.

I'm happy and shocked at the same time. I'm down 4# today. I was just hoping I didn't gain this week. My regimented exercise has been so low the last couple of weeks. I guess all my extra moving in my office has helped to make the difference.
I made it to the gym today and got in a light workout. One of my friends came in and I ended up talking to him more than I exercised. He was the chaplain at the track and I was asking him about donating some items to them. He informed me he was no longer the chaplain, so I guess I'll just send it to Goodwill or something. I don't know when they'll get new chaplain in and don't want to just leave it back there.

I was doing well today, lots of exercise on the yard. Now the fence is done and it looks so much better.
I had a Spark friend and her DH for lunch as they went though Augusta heading North to Bangor for her sons Birthday. That is a long drive from their home so it gave them a break and we really had great get together.
I baked several Spark recipes. Highlight was Pistachio crusted salmon,(I used oat bran instead of crumbs) It was a really great presentation. Portion control all the way.
I made a cauliflower PIZZA crust just as an experiment all 4 of us liked it.
A bid salad using mesclum mix spring mix and romaine. I served Lundberg wild rice blend using their Wild rice Saute, 6 rices black, wild, sweet, brown and whole grain Wehan rice and sauteed Mushrooms, celery , Garlic and red onions, Soy sauce and very small amount of oil since I sauteed in the microwave it was so good.
Needless to say I am over my calories and everything except fats. I wanted to make this meal and it was a big hit with all of us. Tomorrow is another day.
It was a great day for me and DH.
4 hours yard work mostly on my knees I still managed 5,992 steps up to this time by the time I get to our room I will be over my 6,000 steps.

Pat and Tessa, you're both doing well. Keep it going.

We went out to breakfast and dinner today. Breakfast at Cracker Barrell and I had the blueberry pancakes. Only ate about 1/2 the pancakes and all my eggs and bacon. We went on over to Academy after that and I found me a new pair of shoes, then to Lowe's, so got in a little bit of walking. That's about it for exercise for the day though. For dinner I had a grilled Alligator salad, so feel good about the calories for it.

Worked yesterday and managed not to eat cake (which I have been doing recently).
Today has been quiet but I've walked and will be ready for a long jog (4 or 5 miles) tomorrow morning with my colleague (and her dog!).
Hope you've all had a good weekend

Hi there i have just had supper and once I sat down the tiredness kicked in. I came in after almost 5 hours outside, happily in the shade so no sun burn.
The pollen is getting very bad but my yard work is almost done in that bed. I have almost 6,000 steps but that is everything for moving about today. I am hoping for an early night. I have to get up to make lunch for a Spark Friend and her DH. So I am still doing well but know i will be under everything today. I am not usually hungry when i work. Hugs see you all tomorrow.

Hi there. I decided to finish what I started. removing a trench of clay underneath our new fence. I went out at 10 am and when DH came home at 12.30 pm I was weary.

He helped me pick up and rake up the mess then he ran the lawn mower over the remaining grass and it looked good.

Steps are close to 9.000 .DH and I had lunch and went to the botanical gardens for a leisurely walk.
The yard work raking was just over 2,000
At the gardens we walked over 3 miles. Another great exercise day.

FOOD not so good . I wanted haddock chowder and bread stuffed with Spinach and mozzarella. The chowder tasted great but no fish was left in the pot and there was no fish on my plate. I showed her and she brought another pot. Better but still not much fish just one small piece.
It must be cut back on US route # 1 Maine around this time because the tourists are coming up North. I had my own chowder in my tracker, I used that one and I had a piece of my microwave apple crisp that DH loves. MINIMAL brown sugar in the topping.
We had a nice day. Not many flowers but nice. emoticon emoticon
emoticon
I WILL DO BETTER TOMORROW.
I did the BOLLYWOOD and I mile with Leslie Sansonne. Now I am over 10,000 steps. again. Pat in Maine.

WAY TO GO TESSA. That is a great loss. You're right though the second week will be harder. Keep it going.

Pat, you are going great guns up there. I don't know how you get in so many steps in a day. Of course I guess if I went walking I'd get them in too. The only steps I get for the most part are the steps I take at work.

Tammy, you're right a little walk is better than no walk at all. Good job.

Today began with yard work. 2 hours weeding and raking to add mulch to a special flower bed and the last hour after dinner was DIGGING in clay.Total 3 strenuous hours of real YARD work.
Our fairly new fence was pushed up by the snow plow and it is bending the boards so I dug the clay out with a trenching tool I am so bea emoticon emoticon emoticon t right now I am happy though.
At 3:00 pm I walked 4 miles on the trail and I have 13,130 steps so far not many more before I give in for the night. Just need to track it. No ST videos needed tonight. HUGS Pat in Maine.

Food was very good I never felt hungry I might be well under my max but I am supposed to be going to high end. No matter I did well and I feel Great.
I hope you do too. ((((HUGS )))) and much love knowing you are there. Pat

Eating good, jogged 4.4 miles though rather disappointed that spark tells me I walked it-we were slow today, it was warm but we definitely did run!
Decided not to go out tomorrow evening, I don't think I could resist pizza, or even eat a sensible amount, a situation best avoided at the moment, I want to stay on track.

I have tracked all of my food and I have enough steps to quality for a good workout. I need a bit of time to blog.
Blogging keeps me enthusiastic about what I am doing I can sound off to anyone who wants to listen and it is so much better than talking to the neighbours they think I am crazy talking about healthy foods.
That what I like about this site there is always someone out there listening and responding and i am a chatterbox. I like the feed back and I give the feedback but I never have to talk or listen to too much neighbourhood watch talk. I love my neighbors we will do anything for one another but we are chalk and cheese when it comes to eating and exercising.
I love Spark people they are always interesting .

I walked 4 fast miles with my walking buddies abd it was a nice fast walk but we carried umbrellas just in case we had more rain to deal with.

So far I have made sure I am eating exactly the right amount. Today's weight once again is EXACTLY like last time. """What a surprise"""close to the average of the entire past year. i cannot complain, I have not gained. I did enjoy my walk and I discovered others were short of breath but I was doing just fine. That is worth noting to cheer myself up over this plateau thing.
I did a Bollywood video last night and I loved it. There was so much movements I expected to be stiff but I am doing great today.

HUGS Pat in Maine. I am enjoying my Spring in to Spring, I hope you all are. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Not much exercise for me today. I was in my office all day doing laundry. It'll help me tomorrow though. I'll get to go in and get some of my other work taken care of without having to rush quite so much. I haven't tracked my food yet, but am probably way under on calories today. I had breakfast, but no lunch and then we went to dinner but I only ate a little bit and was full. The only problem was what I had was fried.

Thanks JACQUE, it went well i ate chicken and cottage cheese as well as vegetables and some fruit. I rarely eat bread I ate a single slice of 100% whole wheat with 1 teaspoon of PB

HOWEVER I decided to stop with too much computer. I did exercise a bit less than usual I know but this morning my FBS was an awful 108 after almost 10 hours sleep.I usually like 7 hours sleep.
I will exercise hard I will be much less t the computer. I am looking for exercise and community no more spark points hoarding for me. Summer is back and life is worth living to the fullest. See you all this evening eat well and move fast. HUGS Pat in Maine. emoticon
Back againI forgot my step numbers it was under 6,000 but time has run out I have eaten well, and I have done some really sweaty exercises tonight I did have fun though That helps. I think I like BOLLYWOOD it is not as hard as the usual exercise videos.
Catch you all tomorrow, Pat in Maine.

Tracking and exercising today - I don't expect one day will undo some others of being over on calories and under on exercising, but TODAY IS A NEW DAY!

Have a good day, my friends!

Tessa, good job on tracking today. I think I need to do a little better with the tracking too. Keep it going that scale will moving. Good job on the exercise too.

Pat, you're right DH is much more important than getting on here. How did the extra protein go today? Hope it helped with the hunger issue.

I got a little walking in today. Went shopping in Lafayette for a little while again today. I did manage to get to the gym this morning too.

I've managed to track food and stay in calorie range today, first time in months... but then I was a little shocked at what the scales were telling me this morning.
I've run and done a pilates class so one good day for me.

Thanks Jacque, I appreciate what you said so more chicken today. We shall see. I only walked 1.5 miles on the trail. it was sunny but the wind was BRUTAL !!

It might be sunny but all we met were people with hands in their sleeves or gloves and hats.
I will look at the DVD's and walk with Leslie Sansonne.
DH walked with me but I went ahead and I walked back to him. He was not looking well and complained of an all night long head ache. I spark late and he stays up. Now i must change I told him 10 pm I will leave the computer, he is so much more important than doing this. I do not want to leave it but I will if I need to. First I must moderate what I do here.
I will catch up with you this evening HUGS Pat. in Maine. emoticon emoticon

I AM BACK I HAVE ALMOST 6,000 LESS THAN 100 TO GO.
FOOD IS ALL TRACKED JUST 4 CARBS OVER OTHERS ARE UNDER . NOW IT IS EARLY TO BED. PAT IN MAINE.

Pat, it sounds like your extra calories must be carbs. That would leave you feeling hungry. Try to make at least some of the extra calories good lean protein. Protein leaves you feeling fuller longer. I think with all of your activity that you will be fine on the not gaining for the month. Keep us up on you progress.
We're here to cheer you on.

It is very odd when I was just eating healthy and doing lots of walking I rarely felt hungry I was satisfied and I was pretty much in maintenance you might say, BUT I have 20 more pounds at least to drop. I decided to eat more and believe me I feel like I am hungry all the time. i had wanted to follow the urge to do what spark says, eat more to lose weight. I am beginning to worry i will gain 10 pounds at the end of the month. I hope the rest of you are doing great, Take care and keep moving. HUGS

I am ready to do my evening exercise . i am still here, a little discouraged but if the sun shines and wind goes away I know I will feel more self-motivated HUGS Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Pat, I bet the work more than made up for the extra calories, especially since they were from a fruit. I've done fence repairs and know how hard it is. I bet you're sore. Hope it's feeling better today.

This week was a tough one for me. I didn't get to the gym but 3 times. I got in lots of exercise in my office, but not the kind I'd like to get. It all counts in the long run. Looking for this next week to be better.

HI all, back again..I am with you TAMMY I overate today I rarely do that and it was because I ate 2 Mangos, I never ate them before DH does not like them and they were expensive so I ate 2'
I am over in calories that is rare and over in carbs that happens.
My exercise was actually very hard work. I fixed a chain link fence gate and it has my hands and shoulders aching. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Hi, friends!

The exercise was good today; the warmer weather is helping me to get more time in, plus I have my resistance bands, which I love both - outside AND the resistance bands. The nutrition has NOT been good the past few days.

RUTH ANN, I got this energy from my mother but I wear myself out some days and I just keep on going. I am unable to sit and relax. It can be a blessing but when we camp I have to still do things. DH loves to sit and relax but I just get antsy. I have taken to bringing my lap top that helps and I like to draw even though I do not do well with it but it calms my mind.
Mt NUTRITION is excellent and it is raining so I may need to walk with Leslie and Stretch with Nicole. No matter what I will do what I need to do. HUGS Thanks Pat in Maine.

Tessa, good job on the exercise. It's been so crazy here at work this week that I haven't gotten much 'real' exercise.

Pat, yes do keep us up on how your experiment goes :)

I've been hard at it since 7:30 this morning. We had a power failure here at the track last night, so everything that normally gets done at night had to be done this morning along with everything that gets done during the day. I finally got to sit down for more than a minute at 3 this afternoon. I'm winding my day down about now. I'll probably head for home in a few minutes, but thought I'd pop in here first. I've gotten in over 7000 steps here in my office today.

Great JOB Sharon, way to go. Keep it up and you will be able to do it again. You ar in weight loss mode WooHoo emoticon emoticon emoticon

I just did 2 workout Resistance band and cardio with coach Nicole. They are a great workout for me. I have used the seated resistance 20 minute workout for almost as long as I been with Spark.
I rode my bike today but I have a new seat and it is not very easy to sit on. Still trying it out before I send it back.
Now I will do 2 miles with Leslie Sansonne.
My food was in the higher numbers deliberately and I have eaten fruit and vegetables with every meal. I am trying to prove or disprove the eat more weigh less theory.
You know me I will keep you posted . Pat in Maine.

I'm about the same this week. I feel I'm getting some control back but my eating isn't great-just as well I've done two 4 mile runs!
I know I need to start tracking food, I think that should be next weeks challenge.
So good to see people losing-it reminds me I need to get to that point too.

Pat I totally agree. If you fixate on the scale and it doesn't go where you want when You want, it can cause very negative reactions. You've been doing great. I don't think you can do way to much exercise. I think the only time you're doing too much is when you begin to hurt yourself. As for eating too little. I understand what you're saying. I've gone through the 'not eating enough' business too. If you're eating healthy and you and hubby are healthy and happy, then it sounds like you're doing the right things. I didn't even own a scale until last year. My judge of my size was always been by how my clothes fit. Keep up the good work. We love having you here.

emoticon I like the title self improvement. I was told a long time ago I would not lose weight. Spark has been the only program with some success. I am doing way too mush exercise but I do love it. I doubt I will be able to do it in the summer but right now I have no expectations i will lose any. Spark keeps saying I am eating too little but frankly why binge when i never have done it before.
I and DH eat healthy I bake for him I can leave it alone. I am concentrating on my personal self improvement for a while. I have smaller clothes sizes so that is good.
If I fixate on the scale I will find negativity and that will be counterproductive for me.
I Love the community, the encouragement and the people so that has become my reason for staying. The Spark friends keep my very happy and grounded.
I will report in tonight. Food is all tracked so I will just get moving now. HUGS and continued to improve Pat in Maine. emoticon SHARON, You can do it. emoticon

I have all of my nutrition in the high end of my allowance. I did a 3 MILE advanced walk with Leslie Sansonne. I have walked 8510 steps and did 2 Strength videos with Coach Nicole HUGS Pat------ It gets tough but we are tougher. emoticon emoticon

Sharon, good job on the scale dropping. I wish mine were dropping faster, but I know why it isn't. I'm not making as good of food choices as I should. I'm getting my exercise though and that is keeping it from going up.

I'm still here!!! In fact, this morning my scale finally dropped another pound! I'm so proud of you, Pat for getting in all that movement. I'm not! As I told Ruthann, I have no excuse other than I am not motivated to exercise. I'm hanging in there and happy when the scale drops as I know I am making wiser choices.

Ruthann, you're doing well too. You are getting the exercise in and that is important. My scale isn't moving nearly as fast as I would like, but I'm happy that it's moving in the right direction, so won't complain, lol.

Pat, good job on all the walking. I don't have the time for that, in fact I'm not getting nearly enough walking in. I was in hopes that I was going to be able to bring my treadmill up here to work, but they vetoed it. Said it was too much liability. Oh well, I'll figure another way.

I got in a quick workout at the gym this morning. Worked my arms. I've also done 40 squats so far and 20 Wall Push ups.
Well, back to work. Have a good day all

Today is supposed to be warmer. WEDNESDAY used to be weigh in day but I never do it I know it will be 176-something it had for well over a year despite my efforts.

JUST for you DRUM ROLL!!!! 176.2 emoticon emoticon

I reset calories. I usually get an announcement on Wednesday I am not eating enough. After resetting my numbers on Spark settings They have lowered my calories so now I get the RED ink on TUESDAYS INSTEAD emoticon emoticon

This morning DH and I will walk 4 miles with walking buddies on the rail trail.
Afterwards I will do a walk with a wild flower group. That will be a leisurely MUDDY walk but we will have fun. Pat in Maine.

Breakfast was Mango, Followed by Blueberry/oat bran and cottage cheese--my hot breakfast. emoticon emoticon
I bought a box of Mangos to try we had never eaten them before except in canned fruits. DH is not impressed I am and I will have to eat them myself or waste.---NEVER!!

Pat, you're doing great. Keep it going. I had a gazelle and used it for a while. I can see how it would be a big help on rehabbing your DHs hip. I gave mine to my sister when I got the treadmill. Now I don't have room for either, so have it on Craigslist for sale.

I see that I missed posting yesterday. I didn't get on the computer and last night when I was going to post from my phone, I kept nodding off so gave up and went to bed.
I'm down .5 this week as well.

I had to go to a lecture today. As soon as DH was up I went to the Gazelle, it is temporarily in our bedroom. DH had hip replacement and that little piece of equipment really helped his hip improve. The Dr said he needed no PT since he exercised daily with the exercise instructions that they gave him. He chose to try and he did use the gazelle i suggested start with 2 minutes and he is up to twenty now and walking really well. However we were able to get it upstairs but not back down so It was easy for me to do 30 minutes before the lecture of walking on the Gazelle.
This afternoon was spent mostly at the eye Dr. I told him I am having hard time seeing through my glasses. He told me my lazy eye now has a cataract and we have scheduled to have it treated May 30. That was not what I had expected for sure.
I ate well still in range and so far 7259 steps
I am SPRINGING emoticon
Great job with that line dancing I just have two left feet. I would love to do it but I know i will mess up. It is perfect a great exercise and a lot of fun and laughter.
Too bad they no longer teach that kind of exercise in schools. In England we were taught country dance in my girls school. I think it was a great experience listening to that kind of music too. Thanks RUTHANN

GREAT RUTH ANN, WELL DONE!!!! emoticon emoticon

I have had a really great day.
I sparked in the basement till 10 am and then I went upstairs to clean the bathrooms. I cleaned everything-floors, walls in both of them. Vanities and flush shower and tub. Then on to the kitchen floor. Took three rugs outside and hung them on the fence till the floor was dry. I gave the area rugs an Old fashioned carpet beating, it was better than Strength training it sure was fun.

DH helped to put the furniture back and I vacuumed the rugs. We have a small house almost all carpet except kitchen, bathrooms and living room/dining room. By 12-30 pm I was done. We ate lunch and the sun was out so we walked the rail trail. I walked 2 miles and DH his usual right now 1.5 miles. We went back to the house and watched another episode of a police story called "Missing". I had wanted to do some yard raking so I did another part on the yard and I was out there from 4.15 to 5.30.
By then we were in to the days awful News about the Boston Marathon.
So very sad and so sick too. What a nightmare for so many people.
We had supper and I am back in the basement trying to spark and trying to make sense of the day. I will weigh in on Wednesday and see where am. Pat emoticon
2.5 heavy cleaning.2 miles on the rail trail, 75 minutes raking. I will put in my steps and time in now. I am hoping to get to bed before midnight.

Today was good.10, 371 total . 4,705 walking and raking.3 hours and 85 minutes exercise.
Tomorrow is a class day and Optometrist so there will be precious little time for a really good walk. I will try though !! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Need 1 more pound gone and I will be at the plateau of going under the 200 mark. I never dreamed that I would ever be here again. Thank you God. But what a trip.

Thanks for the Woo Hoo, Jacque. I really feel the same way. Wheeeeee

But still have to watch it.

The running back and forth to change threads really help. Plus love it.

emoticon Ruthann. Sometimes a change in routine is what gets the scale moving again. The towels sounds neat. Don't forget to post a pic.

OH MY: I just don't know how to act this morning. The scale went a half pound under my stubborn 2 pounds that i haven't changed since I have been back from my first trip to Yuma.
I had to check to see if I had glasses on. YUP I did.

I worked on towels yesterday and it took two changes of thread per design. So all day I got up and down so that must be why??????? although I get plenty of exercise through out the week. ?????
I made 10 towels for our "Yesteryear car club" There is a car in the middle and the clubs name circling around the design. They are on black dish towels which the guys can use them in the shop or they can give them to their wives for dish towels. What a plan.

Now I wish I can rid of the 1.5 pound to be 200

We have had an iffy day we had snow and it melted before I went for the groceries. I was sent am e-mail, a really good one about old cars so I sent it to my DH computer. It came up red as PHISHING. I tried again and all the photos were in the subject line as JPG picture we could click on them but the description was all together in the lower part of the mail.
I decided to the old desk top. I wanted to send it from there. I used outlook express and I got a message saying I should use web mail instead. I went to Microsoft and they asked for new password. I gave them the usual one but they said do not use a password you have used before.
I did all of that and have now realised almost all of my passwords are not being recognized.
I bought a new book to use to get them all in there.
Food has been great but exercise is about to be done, HUGS Pat in Maine.

It is a lovely day here and I have an hour of walking in; eating could be better. I have just been "off" the past few days...

Good morning girls.
The sun is shining, the air is clean and spring is in the air. I'm feeling better today and got another good night sleep.
I've been to the gym got in a 20 min workout there and then on to work. I've done 130 squats so far and 25 push ups. Taking the day off is what I needed I do believe.
I did get on the scale at the gym and my weight hadn't moved since Monday, but I'm not going to worry about that right now. I still have a few days before I'll officially weigh in.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Tessa, I prefer to start my day with exercise too. I feel it just gets the day moving. I too find that I eat a little better once I've exercised. No apologies necessary as Sharon said. Hang in there. As long as you are aware of it, you will soon start to do something.

Tess - no need to apologize about the challenge. You can only let yourself down but the month is still young. You have lots of time to get back on track and make yourself feel better. We encourage you to keep checking in and letting us know how it's going. emoticon

Jacque - take your day of rest as it's well deserved. Allergies have been bad here this season and it's dragging many of us down.

I thought I was so good at our party. I took half portions and passed on all the drinks and drank water! But my weight is solid and not giving. I'll keep at it as I know it's about ready to drop (or is that wishful thinking!)

I'm not really keeping up with this challenge -apologies.
I've put on one pound since the beginning of the month, it could be so much worse!
I'm really to get my life a bit more organised now, I've had one day feeling in control of my eating but not enough exercise this week. So my plan moving ahead is to try to exercise first thing in the morning-that way it's done and I don't argue with myself all day, also I often find it easier to control my eating after exercise.
My youngest went back to uni today after the Easter break and my hubby will be back at school next week so life should become a bit more structured which will help me.
Well done to all the losers-I'm longing to join you!

Pat, you're AWESOME. Keep it going, you're an encouragement to the rest of us.

Tammy, good job on getting the walk in.

I missed the gym this morning. My body just didn't want to get up. I went to bed early last night and slept late this morning, then after Robby left I dozed back off again. I was a couple of minutes late getting to work even. I think my body is telling me I need today off, so other than my push-up challenge, I think I'm going to take today off from exercise. I'm sure part of it is just these darn allergies getting to me, but I haven't really had a rest day since the beginning of the month.
I hope everyone has a good day today

I don't know what I am doing right but what ever it is it is working. I have never stayed the same for so long in my life. I am happy that when I eat a heavier dinner that it don't shoe up on the scale. ???

I have cut back and it is harder to chew with the big hole in my mouth and I have been eating softer foods which digest easier. I am thinking that could be the case.

Got to go line dancing. I couldn't get a better work out for me. After 2 hours I have sweat dripping from every strand of hair and I am soaked to the skin. I am ready for a shower. So off I go....

emoticon , Pat! Yes, we do appreciate what that means!

I had almost talked myself out of walking yesterday - I have really been tired the past few days - but the sun had cleared a bit by 5 p.m. last night, so I told DH and SD that I was going to go out and at least get 20 minutes and came back and it had been 30! I never did get to the resistance bands, but that's okay.

I slept better last night, and that is a very good thing, indeed.

Our temps are cooler, and I am going to roast a turkey that I bought on sale earlier in the spring. I don't really want it in my freezer all summer.

I shall hope to report better exercise habits today/tomorrow.
