Well done Brenda

Tammy-it's so easy to let things slip-particularly when you've been so busy, then there's been Christmas too. The new year is a great time to get going again.

Maybe we need a January challenge fo some sort?

This helped me to keep moving over the holiday period so thank you to everyone who took part.

Oh, gee, Tessa, I am so sorry I wasn't more active here! My preferred exercise is walking, but when we were spending such long days at the restaurant helping DS and BIL get ready, I excused myself that I was getting more exercise anyway...and I was, but then it all came to a stop. emoticon

I managed to break my exercise streak on Christmas eve-sorry-I was on my feet much of the day.
Hope you've all been moving.
25/12 2 mile jog (and afternoon walk 1.5 miles)
26/12 2 mile walk & lots of squats

I hope you've all got some moving planned for the next few days-I'm sure Christmas is different in America to England but I know the next few days are going to be busy with all the family here.
I'm hoping to fit in a few exercises between bits of cooking tomorrow (squats, abs..anything else I can think of!) then Tuesday we may have an early family run for some (!!) before we go to Church. Wednesday will probably be walking.I know I'll be eating far too much, at least if I move a bit it helps!

I've been so busy I keep forgetting to come down here and check in. I've been getting lots of extra exercise in my office. Lots of up and down. I got in over 10,000 steps yesterday and the equivalent of 4 flights of stairs in all my up and down. I've been cleaning in my office today and really worked up and sweat. Still have more to do.

Finished work tonight and realised I hadn't done my 10 minutes so I've fitted in some squats before midnight (really should go to bed now). At least I've now finished work till the new year.
So I've managed every day for the last week-thanks to you guys!

I can see Ann has done everyday
I think the others aiming for this are Sharon, Booberry, Marianne, Jacque, Tammy
Do let us know how you are getting on

walked and shopped 3 hours Saturday and my feet felt like they were about to blow up rested Sunday

Today I've walked almost 3 miles (it's my 'rest day')
I wont be on line for the next couple of days-we're off in the motorhome for a brief break & to look after our GD as DD has a work meeting (on a day she doesn't work usually).
I'll be cycling for the next 2 days-pleae keep moving in my abscence and we can do a roud up of how you are all getting on once I'm back mid week.

Well, I had to come in and fess up. I didn't get the walk in last night after work. I buzzed right by
Walmart without even stopping and went home. I was just worn out. I was in bed by 10 and didn't get up until about 4:30 this morning.
I will go out and get a walk in today sometime though and will come back and report it.

Ok, so I'm slow lately. I just found the thread.
So here it is.
12/12 30 min walk in the fabric store. Lifting, bending, walking. Not strenous, but movement
12/13 15 min stretching
12/14 I'll get in a walk at Walmart after I get off of work.

Tessa, thanks for getting us going. I kept thinking I needed to get something started and just haven't been up to par on things.
Ladies, good job so far. Let's keep this going.

12/12: 30 minute walk plus 10 minute stretch & flexibility routine (SFR) I do every day
12/13: 30 minutes aerobics+SFR and 30 minute walk = 60
12/14: 75 minutes walking
12/15: 90 minutes aerobics, SFR, and walk
12/16: 100 minutes walk, SFR
12/17: 90 aerobics, SFR
12/18: 30 minute walk
12/19: 30 minutes aerobics and SFR
12/20: 30 minutes exercise DVD

It's a busy day bit with the two Open Houses at our Community, I think I'll be walking back and forth to get my exercise in.

Yesterday, the women were shocked I walked and wanted to give me a ride home. I had to convince them it wasn't THAT far and I wanted the exercise.

Tessa - thanks for starting this thread! It helps us all focus on getting some exercise in every day. For me, instead of driving to go decorate our cookies I will walk back and forth. That will give me 10+ minutes of walking for the day.

10 minutes of any sort of exercise, walking, jogging, gym, sport, swim, strength training, spark videos...what ever you want. Lets keep moving over the festive season until we get to those new year resolutions!
