Well, that's it for me...just finished tracking todays food. I think, if memory serves me correctly, that I went over on calories by a few once during this challenge. Pretty good week, considering how tempted I was so many times to vacuum clean out the cubards with my MOUTH! Heeheehee...didn't do it! emoticon

The temptations being so great to sample all the little mini samplers. Three girls = 3 bags in which to choose from. I forgot how much I loooove chocolate.

I was cramping so much today. After the short walk and a nice goody treat(and more) I felt better. Can I cheat during my T.O.M., I would hate to see the damage of my cravings!

I started tracking my sodium about 5 months ago. Really does make a difference, swelling in feet and hands, water gain during TOM and such.

I just started tracking my sodium yesterday after going to the doctor. I need to work on that. I told my roommate that we need to start using the Mrs. Dash I bought more so I'm hoping she will quit using so much salt in her cooking. I hardly ever salt my food and try to keep the low sodium stuff in mind when I'm buying food.

I had become in the habit of planning ahead that balanced meal and had an idea of the portion size as well. And it is much easier to keep track of when you keep it simple and balanced.
But, after school, the three girls will make a snack, and many times they offer a bite. Ok so one bite of this and one bite of that certainly does not add up, but it did to an easy count of 100+ calories.

It is amazing how many "tastes" of things we have during the day. When they get recorded they really add up. I discovered that when I started here at Spark and started to track everything. I always thought a tiny taste was no big deal and sometimes, that's true, but you never know unless you record it. I've cut way back on it because it is too much of a pain to have to record it so i don't eat it.

Thank you for making me realize that I was snacking and not being accountable for it. We opened up a package of cut salami (while shopping) and I realized that I did not list it and how often do I sample and not make it accountable. Boy, it sure does add up!

This one is easy for me since I havent missed a day since I started. I try to log everything and I was ok last week except THrusday to much candy at work and I couldn't resist but I stopped on piece 3. but still over on the calories. I tried to make up for a little on Friday.

I do need to start tracking again.
I think I am in good ranges but it is always good to keep track and add or do not add as needed. Thank God my kids are far away and no little ones that needed those goodies. Last week was not a big challenge for eating. I did my walk this morning 1 hour fast power walk. Good way to start the week.

Last week seemed to be an off week for many.

Let's see how many 'good' vs bad & ugly we can put on our trackers each day.

I also, will be watching my sodium and fiber. I had the sodium under control for a long time. Fiber is a hit and miss lately.

This is an easy one for me Dorothy. I log EVERYTHING... the good, the bad, and the ugly!! Last week was really ugly, but I figure I am only hurting my progress if I am in denial about what I am eating so on it goes for all the Spark world to see. YUCK!

Welcome to Week-1

Your challenge for this week is to use the food tracker. With one simply rule.
If it went in your mouth it goes on the tracker.

This is a great way to stay within your calorie range. Also to find out where you may need to adjust some items you eat.
For some watching sodium has become very important and others need to track the amount of carbs or fiber.
