Feb 1st--I probably got in more than enough cardio but I'm not recording it. I carried around my youngest grandson in a baby pouch for about 3 hours--the child likes to be bounced and walked so I must have done some cardio with that. I also chased his 2 year brother around the house as well and went to a band function to work last night, but I wouldn't know how to cound any of that.
I'm going for weekly anyway--so far today, the 2nd, I've got in 30 minutes.

I got in 5.5 miles today. I surprised myself. It is amazing to what lengths some people (me) will go to just to make blood glucose levels drop. I am just too impatient to let the antibiotics take their course, especially when leaving blood glucose levels elevated can do me such harm. A bit of exercise today dropped those sugars by around 20 points back into a more reasonable, not yet acceptable, range. If I can do more, I will--but right now, my body says rest, and so I do.

So for the second challenge: 31/84 miles.

I managed a half mile today on the treadmill at PT today at a 3-3.3mph pace and it was as big a challenge as I've had in a while. It's amazing how fast being sick can zap your stamina-or at least mine. Christina, you must be made of steel, you are amazing!

You got far more steps in than I have. I've been mostly sleeping. I went to the Doctor this morning and I have a sinus infection, which I began to suspect was the case last night. I am definitely down for this challenge too!

Hey Patty,
Sorry you are feeling bad too. I'm hoping I found out for sure what is going on. My daughter took me to the ER the other night and we were there for 5 hours. They didn't do any blood work or anything just took my word that it was acting like it was the last time. They listened really good though lol. I have been taking the antibiodics for a couple days now though and so far there is no change. My eye and head is still hurting alot and I am still dizzy every time I turn around. I'm really hoping it goes away soon.

I hope you get to feeling better soon too.

By the way my steps for the day are really low again.....only 3,000. I think I'm out for the count on this one.

Hey Christina,
I'm sorry you are ill, but I'm glad you finally found out what the problem was. I'm down and out on this one too. I have something--I'm running a fever, 2nd day now and my bloods are erratic. I guess it happens to diabetics. SO for me, no miles today or yesterday. We'll see how I feel tomorrow.

I have been ordered by the dr to lay off exercising again. I spent half of last night in the ER and was told I have a bad sinus infection again....which is what has been making me dizzy for a few weeks I guess. I think my chances of meeting this goal are slim to none now.

I'm going with miles this time. I think I'll keep it on the lower side though. So, I'll try for 7 a day which would be 84miles by January 31st. I've done 8 today.

Welcome to the Second half of Januarys challenge. Everyone did GREAT!


Here is how it works.
1. Decide if you want to count miles or steps.
2. Then set your goal for Jan. 20 - Jan. 31 (12 days)
3. Report daily your additional steps or miles.

Example;

walked/ goal/ to goal

Jan. 20= 2/30/28
Jan. 21= 3/30/25

If your doing steps same thing.
Jan. 20= 9000/ 60,000 /51,000
Jan. 21= 10,000/ 60,000 / 41,000

You can track your miles walked, ran, on the eliptical, or even do swimming miles.

Your steps can be actual steps from a pedometer or you can convert your miles to steps.
