Starting TUESDAY we will try to fill (blank). still thinking and finding the amounts.

Keep drinking your water, juice, non-caffienated teas & coffees, sugarfree drinks.

I'm going to try to do better today. I'll update my amounts along throughout the day. Wish you'd keep this challenge as it's the only way I've been able to get in even what I have.

I only knew that I drank a lot and if 8 oz=1 cup (and that is how I figured it), I'm afraid I did drink all that. I don't have any 8oz. cups--they are all 16 oz. cups and my sports bottle is 20oz.--I guess it adds up. As I said, I start out with 2 of those 16 oz. cups even before I eat breakfast and then drink another with breakfast plus 8 oz. of my orange drink. I will down 2 20z. water bottle during an hour to 1 1/2 hours while exercising and then another one within half an hour of finishing. I drink 2 16 oz. cups of cold water before breakfast--one is to just wet my mouth--I tend to be parched when I wake up. The second is to take with my meds. I also drink another 16 oz. with breakfast--I put hot sauce on my omelette so I appreciate the water. I also drink water with my meals. I have several cups of decaf coffee throughout the day (I love the starbucks flavoring). I also drink selzer water and other diet drinks as well as fruit O2. A bit less today since I was out of the house most of the day and I did a lot of water bubbler (fountain) drinking--I had at least 8 cups of water in any event and a couple of diet drinks and some decaf coffee. Both days, I also had my usual mug of regular coffee (A really big mug) but caffinated drinks don't count. I do float away by the end of the day. I've managed to get in 8-8 ounce servings of liquid so far. I've decided that I have to at least match my water intake with whatever other liquids that I drink. So I will update this by the end of the day if I can squeak in anymore.

UPDATE: 10-8 ounce servings by 9:04pm

I'm hoping we can count light cranberry juice. I'm swiching to that today instead of tea because I think I've got myself a UTI. I'm hoping a couple days of cranberry juice will do some good. I'm going to see if the Dr is in today and can call me in some antibiodics.

How do we feel about the broth in my daily bowl of soup? It was listed a few posts back.

Monday -
really bad, 1 bowl of soup, 2 glasses (no sugar added) cranberry juice, 3 cups coffee, 1 cup tea, and 2 16 oz. fruit 2o (also no sugar).

I think for the this challenge
These will all count.

- Water
ex.crystal light, tea on the go, other packs
- Tea & coffee /decaf /unsweetened hot/cold
- skim milk or 1% milk (limit 2)

Caffeinated drinks will count until you reach 400 mg of caffeine.
(you can find this on nutritional info)
We should watch the amount of caffiene we drink.
OR if you don't want to figure out the caffeine, just count as half.

Geez......Ummm I'm ok with brown water Yuck. But I read somewhere on spark that tea was ok to count toward your water total. If not I'm going ot have to give them back my 5 points a day for well ummmmm forever. I have a system....a bottle of water in the morning, a 32 oz tea and a bottle of water in the evening.

Here is the gest of the article.

Of the recommended 8-12 glasses
- Water for all is the best but others can be used also to meet the requirements.

at least 2-6 servings should be water
then others would inclued

Unsweetened Coffee/ teas 0-4 serving
(watch the caffeine limit to 400 mg day)

1% or skim milk - 0-2 serving

Non-caloirc, artificial sweet beverages- 0-2 serving

Sports drinks - very sparingly.
If your are working out intensly over 90 mins. 0-2

I was told on other boards, water is water, tea/coffee/milk/pop is not...
I do put crystal light in my water, I cannot drink it any other way. If we go with the half theory I am good with that...
so then I did have 12 glasses of liquid then, and 8 of those were crystal light flavoured water.

I vaguely recall that when I did weight watchers they had a discussion about what counted as fluids. I think that caffinated counted, but only if you counted it as 1/2 the total in the drink. For example, 8 oz of coffee (or coke, whatever) would only count towards 4 oz of fluids tracked. Non-caffinated fluids were fine, as were soups, broths, etc. Does this help? Ohh well you mean the other liquids don't count? Can I argue this point? I always count my iced tea. What is tea really than colored flavored water? If we are only counting water water geez...I had 4 glasses but I plead my case. I drank a 32 oz Iced Tea like I do every day and that equals my other 4!

Its 35 gallons or 560 (8oz glasses) to fill the tub.

I'm not sure where you got the 56 gallons, but your right, 56 gallons is 7168 ounces.

Not that I'm a math wiz or anything but you are slightly off.

According to the sparkpeople converter 56 gallons = 7,168.0000 fluidounces and divide that by 8oz per glass and you get 896 glasses of water.

I'll slosh as much as I can to help you fill the tub though.

We should all strive to drink 8 glasses of water each day. FOr me this is still a challenge each day to get in.

Now for the challenge:

It takes 35 gallons of water for and average bathtub.
Now if I have done the math correctly,

It would be 560 glasses of water to fill 1 bathtub.

Lets see if we can fill 1 or more for this weeks challenge.
