First, welcome! Second, any time you make a major change in the way you eat, it can cause other changes. Some would say a breakout could be a cleansing of impurities. I'd say, continue on for a few weeks and see how it is then.
Vegan is naturally low-fat, unless you add a ton of oil. Please make sure you don't short yourself on healthy fats like avocado, olive oil, and nuts/nut butters. I've personally found that following the SP guidelines on nutrients (with the exception of protein) works great for me. On the SP protein, if I come in about 20% below their number, it is about right.
