I, too, worry about fructose consumption and keep it low. I never use more fruit in weight than I do greens. The less fruit, the better. Greens without fruit is terribly hard to get down the gullet. Greens with a little fruit, a little liquid stevia, some ginger, lemon/lime juices, spirulina, kale/dandelion/callaloo/parsley/cilantro.. .mixtures, and chia seeds, whirled up by some sort of machine, in my eyes, are to die for.
i don't do green smoothies anymore because i always overdo it with the fruit carbs and i just felt like it wasn't helping with my weight loss goals. and liquids are not filling for me. i'd rather include a cup of chopped kale in my salad, and maybe chop up a peach or apple and throw that in there to up the "yum" factor, than do a smoothie.
sorry, not trying to be negative - i drank green smoothies for years and just wanted to present an alternate perspective. welcome to the site, it really is a very positive and encouraging place :)
I do two smoothies a day... one a Ultra Clear Renew liver support smoothie that my doctor put me on and Shakeology Tropical Strawberry. YUM!
I used to drink a huge green smoothie every day, but because I'm doing these other two "medicinal" smoothies, I'm moving to juicing green foods instead of smoothies for the next while. I prefer to eat raw salads instead.

Hello! I am new to this message board/website. I am a Raw Vegan, which makes the meal plans on here pretty hard to follow. Anyway, i plan on doing a lot of green smoothies for the next month. If anyone would like to join me, please let me know. I'm also going to try to do 2 protein shakes per day. I like the Life Basics unsweetened vanilla protein powder with 1/2 banana and coconut water. It is super filling and tastes good too. I've found that the Life Basics unsweetened Vanilla and Chocolate are the best protein powders i've ever tried. The chocolate one is great for overcoming dessert cravings!
