Here's another newbie who has joined the 12 in 12 challenge. My primary care doctor is an avid vegan and she has given me enough reading references to make her point that the closer I can get to being vegan, the better my health is apt to be. Good luck to all the newbies and veterans too for meeting goals in 2012.

I wonder if a veteran vegetarian/vegan would like to take some newbies under his/her wing and help start a challenge for NEW vegetarians in the New Year? I have been mostly vegetarian for the last year and wanted to start off the New Year with a challenge to go all the way with the plant based diet. What better place to do it than Sparkpeople!! Maybe we can get the word out on general nutrition forums and see if anyone else would like to participate in the challenge. Just an idea! Thanks!! Let me know if anyone else is interested!!
