I have lost 20 lbs since I started last year and am feeling so much better. Not exactly like the gal stretching her jeans LOL but much more energy. still a long way to go but working on it steadily.
Congrats to those who were successful, and Hang in there to those who were not, You still can do it so do not give up. emoticon

I am following Dr Esselstyn's book to Reverse Heart Disease.
My goal is to get one pound slimmer every week until I reach 140, and then stay there forever, healthy.


I notice that my weight always comes up as Kg but believe me, I never weighed 210 Kg LOL It should be reading pounds (that is what my scale says), and I cannot seem to change it so wanted you to know. LOL

I hate it when the computer steals my messages. I will not repeat for awhile until I find out if it will come back again to save me all that typing LOL Anyway I have been successful even tho the tracker still says Kg instead of lbs LOL emoticon

Sully - I know how frustrating it can be. Stick with it. You WILL get there. Stay focused, and make sure you are getting in your exercise. Before you eat something, ask yourself if it is going to help you get below 200. I remember being most frustrated at 200 and more recently at 150. I never thought I'd get past those two hurdles. So far, I feel like I'm doing better with the 140s. I've made a pretty quick recovery from my horrible weekend, and I was back down to 147 today. Hopefully, I'll be able to get back to 146 this week. I hope I'm not stuck in the 140s as long as I was in the 150s. I have a feeling that breaking 130, which is my ultimate goal, will be just as frustrating. Good luck - you can do it.

I dropped down to 123, but went back up during the week. Maybe I am getting more carbs than I need. Or the amount of food is too much for my weight now.

I have been having difficulties.. it's winter here and I have been battling S.A.D. and it has hit me hard 3 weeks before Spring is due to arrive.. so I am struggling with motivation and what not.

Anyway..


W1 - 235.4
W2 - 233.2
W3 - off sick
W4 - 233.0
W5 - 230.0
W6 - 228.8
W7 - 232.4 (sigh)
W8 - 228.8 (same as 2 weeks ago!)

Well at least that is 6.6lbs in total.. but I know it could have been a lot better!

There is only ONE thing that any one of us is ultimately in control of....that's YOURSELF! ~LTS~

I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but AGAIN the weekend completely screwed me up. I hit 146.4 on Saturday morning, and then ended up eating lunch out and followed that up with Pakistani take-out Saturday night. I don't know what is wrong with me. I knew I shouldn't have ordered the Pakistani food. It is so unbelievably delicious, but it always makes the scale jump by at least 3 pounds the next day. I don't know what they put in it, maybe heroin? My mouth starts watering when I even think about it. Bhengan bharta, samosas, mango chutney and lentils, yum! I'm going to somehow have to give it up and find something else a little healthier that I can order on those days when I'm absolutely beat and just really want someone to bring me dinner. Anyway, at least I'm "officially" down a pound from last week. :) How'd ya'll do?
