Cat, hang in there. It's hard to start exercising again when you haven't been doing it recently. Start really small, just 10 minutes every morning, and try to add a little more each day. Eventually your body will crave exercise, and it won't be an issue anymore.

I am down to 143 from a start weight of 146. Pretty good overall! I have had friends in from out of town and more are visiting next week which makes it difficult to fit in exersize and all the eating out makes it hard to eat right! Hope I can make good choices this week!

TSIKes7, that is so sweet. I didn't get a thing for Valentines, never do. Anyway, I was at 233. Cannot remember what I started at. Need to find the first posting. I just am not doing well. I have no motivation to exercise. When I was working on the farm, I got my exercise through the work and lost weight. Now that I am not there, I have to exercise at home and just cannot seem to get motivated to do so. I just sit at the computer all day.

I was shocked. It embarrasses him to talk about how "picky" I am about what I eat. I also felt bad because I have been busy and didn't put much thought into his present. I got him an iTunes gift card.

I am down .4 lbs this week. I have my husband being romantic for once to blame. He took vegan sugar, whole wheat pastry flour, and my daiya cheese to our local pizza parlor and taked them into making me a heart shaped pizza for V-day. I was sooooo touched that of course I had to eat the entire thing!

Well, I weighed this morning since I forgot yesterday and I was at 151.6, up .4 from last week and a little more than 2 pounds above where I should be for this challege. Anyway, so far my weigh-ins are:
SW 153.4
W2 153.2
W3 153.2
W4 151.2
W5 151.6

I'm hoping that I can catch up - I really want to do 10 pounds in 10 weeks. Did lots of physical activities yesterday. Sledding, Wii Fit, and 2+ hours shovelling out my car from the massive ice/snow block.

Congrats to all who've lost so much weight. Great job. And Happy Mardi Gras everyone. I really wish I were in New Orleans today.

I'm at 141.4, which I think is the same as last week. Blah :-( It's just been a rough week with motivation. I started a new job, and it's really stressful. I work at Ann Taylor. Good clothes, but crappy policies. I'll get used to it. I like most of the people.

My half marathon training has really fallen by the wayside. It's in a little less than 5 weeks, so I really have to get moving! I've figured out that it's really hard for me to stick to a training schedule because my energy levels vary from day to day. So from now on, my goal is just to do what I can everyday, and try to make each run longer than the last one. Eventually I'll work up to 8-9 miles again, and then 13 won't be so bad. I also realize that the lighter I am on race day, the easier it will be to get through the race. At this point, i'm not even trying to beat my old time (2:16). I just want to get through it with a time I can be proud of. Preferably not too much walking.

KClayton, hang in there with the snow. We've had awful snow up here in Jersey too!! Once I dug my car out I just tried to stay out of the house as much as possible, at the gym, or work, or the mall, anything! I hate having to sit at home. I can't WAIT till it all stops.

I had a really screwed up morning so weighing in just never happened!!!!

KCLAYTON333 - I feel your pain with the snow thing. I'm in the same situation here. I've said for a long time if I never saw a snowflake ever again, I'd be a happy girl!

My weight this week was 142.2, down 0.8 lbs. since last week. So not a whole pound, but better than nothing and it's exactly 4 lbs. lost for me since I started at 146.2.

Juliet...it happens. I gained like 2 lbs. one of the weeks. I look back on what I am eating and try to figure it out. Sometimes I will drink alot of water before going to bed too. Fluctuations are very frustrating for alot of us. Don't worry about it, you will probably get on the scale tomorrow and see that you had already lost it and more.

So I'm not counting the first weigh in I guess. So we are half way there on our challenge. :) Went to the gym last night. My heart rate was concerning to me as it went up to 175, but I didn't want to stop until I hit 30 minutes. I hope more that I do it the better my heart rate will be.

Hi all.

I made up for being sick and what not as my weigh in day (Saturdays for me btw) I was down to 230.0 from 233.0 last week. So that's a 3lbs gave-it-back-to-the-universe for me! Woot!

Now time for my shake banana tea and 60 minutes of cardio!

Ooops - originally, accidentally posted under the General Discussion forum. Sorry.

Well, it looks like I'm starting the new thread again this week. I unfortunately do not have anything good to report. Last week was terrible for me, and I even FORGOT to weigh this morning. It's the first time that has happened in almost a year. I've been stuck in the house for pretty much 11 days now due to the two blizzards that hit D.C. School and work better be open tomorrow. We are supposed to get more snow this afternoon. I am so ready for Spring it is not even funny. Anyway, my weight yesterday was 152.8, so I think I'm up from last week, but my weekly average was almost exactly the same as last week. I was around 150.6 all week, but up yesterday because we ordered Pakistani food the night before. It always makes me gain temporarily, but I love it sooo much. If life can get back to normal this week, I'm going to try really hard to break into the 140s! I KNOW I keep saying that every week, but I really mean it! Wish me luck!
