I'm down another 2 (from being sick... don't think this is sustainable). I think I'm down 6 overall from the start of this, down 8 since Jan.

I really liked the points on WW. You can eat anything, but it emphasized lower fat and higher fiber foods. I lost weight when following it a few years ago. I might go back to following that when I return to the US (and find all my info again) because I agree that it's hard to track EVERY little thing in every meal... especially when someone else cooks.

I've never done WW with the core program, but I've done the points program. It wasn't for me. I felt restricted to what was on their list of foods. I like the SP reciepe calculator. I feel more in control to step out of the box.

Just my opinion....

My theory on cravings is if they are true cravings, meaning your system and stomach wants a food, it's probably that you're missing something in your diet- maybe you need to add a little bit more fat? Or salt? If it's mouth cravings, like you just NEED chocolate, you just gotta make a decision and hold yourself to it: Fight the craving and do something else to take your mind off food, OR decide to give in and have a piece of chocolate (or whatever it is). You control the food, the food does not control you.

Now, if only I could follow my own advice!

Has anyone here ever done WW? I've been considering joining WW Online again because I feel like if I have to pay money, I might hold myself more accountable. In the meantime, I've started counting WW points again instead of calories. Both to switch things up a bit, and to have a bit of a break from all the counting. I find that when my boyfriend cooks for me, it's really hard for me to record every single ingredient in my tracker. With points, I can just count veggies as 0, and it makes things a lot easier. Any thoughts/experiences?

I can relate.. Im back at my starting weight this last weigh in (I thought this was a LOSE weight challenge, but all Ive done is gain and then lose). I have confidence Ill be at a net loss in the next few weeks though...

Anyway... Ive been getting some really bad sweet cravings that fruit is just not curing. I havent given in, but maybe some healthy suggestions? Im almost to the point of buying some chocolate, which sometimes I can eat in moderation, but with these cravings Im not sure if I can only eat 2 squares! Help!

Welcome back Jules!!! We have ALLLLLL been there, believe me!

I definitely have not been as consistent as I'd like. Too much travelling, too many sweet cravings. But I'm working to get into a consistent routine, and I'm gonna get there!!

We're snowed in today, but I'm going downstairs for a long run on the treadmill. yay!

i've been going up since the 1st week as my consistency went bad. i also couldn't accurately determine what i was doing like i was accustomed to because my computer crashed and i had to spend days trying to get all this other stuff done that i needed, then spent a week trying to get it back online. needless to say, i'm just now jumping back into a routine.

i have lost a bit since yesterday, but I'm over where i started the first week, so i'll have to wait til next week to be anywhere near postable.

I don't have set days, but an overall goal for the week. I do what I want each day as long as I get in 1 strength training day at the gym (trying for 2, but there aren't enough hours in the day!!) and 4-5 days of cardio. I LOVE Spinning, so I usually Spin 3 days a week, run 1 time a week, do a cardio Pilates DVD and go for a long bike ride on the weekend (weather permitting).

I have been off my routine for about 12 days now due to being sick. I was just about to start the weight training when I had to stop everything. However, right now this is what my routine looks like.

Cardio:
Mon, Wed, Fri & Sat 40 - 60 min AM and 30 - 40 PM
Tues & Thurs 60 min in morning

Yoga:
Tues & Thurs 70 min in evening

Weights : Full body
Mon, Wed, Fri 30 - 40 min

Sundays - no exercise at all, and eat freely.

I generally exercise a lot, when I have time and access to a gym. I run and do some weights, and sometimes do spin class. But I have trouble finding a regular routine that works.

Question for all: Do you have a weekly workout routine, or do you just do what you can, when you can? If so, what is your routine? How much cardio vs. how much weights, etc?

Lost 2 pounds this week, so ʹm back to my starting weight, but my % body fat is going down and I feel much more toned. Upped my cardio days from 3 to 6 and feeling good. Hopefully I can get on track for 1 lb a week!!

I'm the same from last week, 142. I've just lost a lot of motivation... I've been travelling too. I was away for the past 6 days, and only got in one run in the whole weekend (I'm not lazy it's just too cold to run outside, and I didn't have a gym...) Blah. Anyway, I'm gonna jump start tings tomorrow again with a good long workout. Now that I'm back home, I can start cooking healthy meals again and get back into my running routine. I also start a new job this week, where I'm on my feet most of the time so that will help. Let's do it, 6 days of exercise and eating right! I'm gonna shoot for 2 pounds this week!

I didn't have time to weigh myself today (I just use the scale at the gym) But I have not bought new jeans in 7-8 months and finally bought a pair yesterday and was down two sizes! I have not lost that much weight in that time (15 lbs) but have toned up and it has apparently made all the difference! This is making me feel motivated to keep it up at the gym and counting calories!
I have a friend visiting from out of town... so going out to eat a lot and being challenged in my choices! I just have been ordering what I want and eating less... we will see how this effects the scale tomorrow!

Back where I started. Moved last week. No walking and meals on the fly. Must get back on track. Way to go to those of you who kept it off. Hopefully, next week's weigh-in will be better.

127.2 today. Hmm...So I have lost a lb. of the two I gained from last week, but was hoping for more. My fault of course. I did get out to the gym both Sat. and Sun. I stopped eating all of the nuts. I have stopped eating processed food, so see where this will put me. I don't want to blame this on my thyroid, but its such an easy out. LOL The weather is crappy and its pouring down rain today. Hard to get motivated.

Hi everyone,

I am down to 233.0 from my last weigh in. That is a 0.2 lbs given back to the Universe.

I would have been more, but I have been sick for the past two weeks, last week being the worst with having hubby call an ambulance for me at 3am!

Having some trouble finding motivation today to do anything, but I know I have to get back in the saddle at some point in time. I still tire easily... I think today I will just start with tracking my foods again, and see if I make it to yoga tomorrow night.

I was very good about what I ate and exercising last week, and then I was feverish and not eating, so I dropped 2 more last week. I don't expect to lose any this week, though. I'm down 4 overall, I think, since we started.

I cannot seem to find runningjo's lose 10 pounds in ten weeks so I am registering here because I have to go to my aqua class but want to register first.LOL

I am following Dr Esselstyn's book to Reverse Heart Disease.
My goal is to get one pound slimmer every week until I reach 140, and then stay there forever, healthy.

I notice that my weight always comes up as Kg but believe me, I never weighed 210 Kg LOL It should be reading pounds (that is what my scale says), and I cannot seem to change it so wanted you to know. LOL

Oh, this week was so much better! I started a new workout program (ChaLEAN Extreme) and was very careful about what I ate, except for the french fries I got while at work for 12 hrs. yesterday (due to people calling off 'cause of the weather). Over the weekend we got 1.5-2 feet of snow and it's still flurrying... and there's only more to come!

Anyway, as far as my weight loss goes, as I said it was much better. When I weighed myself this morning I was at 143 exactly. I started at 146.2, so I'm right on track for this week.

Started the new topic for this week. Hope no one minds. I didn't see one yet. As expected, I am up from yesterday, but I'm down from last week. Yay! As of today 151.2.

Being snowed in and the super bowl kind of got to me yesterday. Too many chips! I'm going to try really hard this week. Hopefully, I will finally be able to break into the 140s. Let's go team!
