Yeay! I made it to 190 today and am so happy. Sometimes I lose 1 1/2 lbs like this week and that is a bonus so I will have made the 60 lbs in a years. for me that is success. I seem to have lost runningjo somewhere along the way but I am still challenging myself to one pound a week. emoticon emoticon emoticon

I am following Dr Esselstyn's book to Reverse Heart Disease.
My goal is to get one pound slimmer every week until I reach 140, and then stay there forever, healthy.

I notice that my weight always comes up as Kg but believe me, I never weighed 210 Kg LOL It should be reading pounds (that is what my scale says), and I cannot seem to change it so wanted you to know. LOL

See, look at me... already slackin' off with checking in! emoticon for me! Yesterday I did CLX Burn Circuit 1 and today is a rest day.

So I have a question... how do you all stay motivated when you loathe the exercises you're doing? Do you just change what you're doing or try to stick it out? I know I've mentioned that I've tried the workout program I'm currently doing a few times before, but I've been unable to finish it.

It's not that it's a bad workout program; in fact, it's quite good and since it's focused more on strength training I've actually seen some muscle definition when I do these workouts. But I still don't like doing them! So if I recognize that it's a good workout and I like the changes that the workout is making to my body, why can't I looooooooove the workouts!?

I hate to give up on this program yet again (especially after only one week!), but I really don't know how I'm going to finish it either. I *do* still need to lose about 30ish lbs. to get to my goal weight, so I don't know if I should focus more on cardio and flat out burning tons of calories to get some more weight off before trying to get muscle definition.

So I had to work over last night 'cause of people calling off and that made yesterday my rest day. It was supposed to be today, but since I had to do it last night I did a short interval wo and a yoga-ish wo also.

Snowed here too! 26" was the official count. We finally got ourselves dug out today - but they still haven't plowed our street. We'll have to do another round once they go by - to undo their damage :) That said, I've gotten at least 2 hours of shoveling that I can count as exercise!

Oops! Forgot to check in yesterday with BC3.

There ended up being about 16 inches of snow at my house. I didn't get my car dug completely out until almost 8 pm last night. Needless to say, I called off work yesterday. Apparently we're in for another snow storm on Tuesday as well. I really need to move south!

I felt almost 100% today and did an interval workout and some ab stuff. I was pretty tired, but I told myself that if I did a few minutes and was still really tired that I'd stop and recover from my blood loss some more. =) But once I got into the intervals, I couldn't stop! Perhaps my intensity wasn't like it would have been on a normal day, but I still did it.

Now I just gotta brace for the big snowstorm we're supposed to get. The amount of snow predicted keeps getting higher and higher. First I think it was only about 4 inches, but now it's up to 14-18! If I wake up in the morning and there's that much snow, I don't think I'll be going to work. Even though I feel terrible calling off, I'm also not going to risk my life trying to get there.

The great thing about Zumba? You're too busy figuring out the steps to watch anyone else. And, they're too busy to watch you! Seriously. We change dances once a month, so we're doing new things right now. There's one that sort of combines swinging your arms wilding with jumping jacks. Okay, it's supposed to be a coordinated pattern, but I feel like my 3 year-old, flailing randomly. Everyone is laughing by the end of that one!

Today was BC2, but I only did about half of it. I donated blood today and I started feeling a little woozy so I thought it was best to stop. I had planned it all out to where I'd get my workout in before getting a pint of blood sucked out, but things didn't work out as planned and I had to do it before. But I still got in a short walk with the dog and some of BC2, and that's better than nothin', right? Especially considering I'm low on red blood cells right now. =)

dementedangel - I've heard such good things about Zumba... but I'm too wussy to go exercise in front of people.

Today was a scheduled rest day for me, but I needed it 'cause my pecs were super sore! I did take my dog for a walk though, so I did get some activity in.

This morning my DD woke up so I couldn't do one of my exercise videos. She wanted to be held so I broke out my step, held her, and did a low - impact step routine that I made up as I went along for 25 minutes. I did 5 minutes of abs.

I plan to take a 2 mile walk during my lunch break.

Much success to you. emoticon I cannot do it yet as I am just coming down from two heart attacks but I am back to the rec centre three times a week to do one hour in the pool. I try to do some band work and lymphasizer on the odd days, but I am not always successful. With your support, maybe I will get better at it. emoticon emoticon

So I guess this isn't really a challenge, but I wanted to start a thread where we all can check-in daily with our exercise even though we can already track our minutes/calories in the fitness tracker. I have serious motivation problems when it comes to exercising, so I wanted to have a place where we could check in with each other with whatever workout we did and help keep each other on track.

So I started ChaLEAN Extreme today. This will be about the 293750435th time I've tried to make it though the 90 days. All but the last time I tried I didn't even make it through the first phase. The last time I tried, I made it through the first 60 days, but my body gave up during the last 30. I *want* to finish this program!! So here's to trying again -- checkin' in today with CLX Burn Circuit 1.
