It's all very close to (ancestral) home. My mother was born in Ballan. My grandfather was a train driver and he drove the train from Ballarat to Melbourne and back every day of his working life.

We are so close to Melborne! Currently we have made our way through the towns of Ararat, Beaufort, and Ballarat to 8 kilometers past the tiny town of Ballan. We have less than 80 kilometers left until we reach the very heart of Melbourne!

You can use the "street view" feature of Google Maps to get an actual view of our route! Go to maps.google.com and type in any of the locations from our virtual route. You can enter one of the towns or even just "Australia" and zoom in on where we have been exploring in Victoria. There is a little yellow person in the upper left hand corner of the map - Click and drag it to anywhere on the map and it will give you an actual street view of that location!

I have been in Montreal for two weeks. I didn't post for two weeks. So for the last two weeks I have done 48km. Walking along a trail that borders the St. Lawrence. Beautiful. emoticon

I only recently worked out how to properly use the tracking feature at My Fitness. Okay, 28.13km for last week. Sounds about right. Hope to go over 30km this week.
