So last week we had plenty of miles to take us from Volcanoes National Park up to Hilo on the Big Island - where we explored the city and attended the Hilo Farmers' Market to sample the local goods and visit the Pacific Tsunami Museum.
Question for everyone - How shall we get to Australia? We can either use our miles/kilometers to sail across the Pacific (which might take us a few weeks...depending on how much distance we can collectively build up) OR we can virtually charter a plane to Australia. Any preferences?
Also, one other note - I'm going to change our "week" from a Monday - Sunday set up to Sunday - Saturday. Does that makes sense? In other words, our weeks will end on Saturdays, instead of Sundays. The reason is that if we get our miles/kilometers posted by Saturday, then I can use Sunday to figure out where we have gone to that week. If I wait until Monday then I get swept up in the week's activities and sometimes it is Thursday before I can sit down and post! So starting this week you can post your miles/km until Saturday, at which point I will start a new thread for the next week and we can see how far we have gone!
