So the C25K program was designed by runners for people who want to get to running a 5K distance (3.12 miles). Its a gradual 9 week program - though you can take it at your own pace - that's designed to increase your cardio/endurance abilities while reducing the risk of overtraining or injury. Its a progressive program that adds more intervals/time to your running and eventually you get up to the full 5K distance (or 30 mins of solid running)

The program is free and here's a link to it. Its a solid program and I've gone through it twice now - the first for distance, second for time - and I noticed great results with it each time!

sounds like an interesting program. My friends and I are doing 2 miles a day I would like to increase it eventually though. How does your program work? Not fully putting myself into partner status but it does intrigue me.

Anyone interested you workout 3 times a week and by the end of the program you should be able to run at least 3 miles!!!! I am starting it today if you want info let me know!!! it would be great to have a partner other than my husband haha
