So the C25K program was designed by runners for people who want to get to running a 5K distance (3.12 miles). Its a gradual 9 week program - though you can take it at your own pace - that's designed to increase your cardio/endurance abilities while reducing the risk of overtraining or injury. Its a progressive program that adds more intervals/time to your running and eventually you get up to the full 5K distance (or 30 mins of solid running)
