My personal challenge and motivation is to continue to develop a routine to build my strength so I can extend my riding this summer.
One year ago, it was a rare day that I could ride alone - one hour would do me in! - so I spent most of the time riding with hubby.
So, I'm making good progress. Tomorrow I'll put it to the test! Planning a long ride . . . .

I want to lose 10 by end of april and finish my 5k on May 5th under 40 min... Those are my goals this mnth....

I am going to challenge myself to los 8 lbs. during the month of April. No fooling. LOL. I have been losing very slowly lately. Time to regroup. Planning on being more active. Getting the exercise going to make the 600 minutes per month team goal. Change some eating plans too.

I'm always amazed at how weak my "get up" muscles are after all the sitting I do at work. I'm incorporating some moves into my breaks from the computer to help strengthen my legs. I really need my leg strength when riding, especially when the gas tank is full and I'm on some uneven terrain (I have an 8 gallon tank!).

I try to do the same thing....I swing my legs or pump them up and down, or just anything to get circulation popping.

I know it has been a while since anyone has posted on this topic, but I challenge myself everyday to complete thirty minutes of cardio everyday even if it is something so mild like swinging my legs over the side of the couch or bed. I figure moving more than I used to is better than doing nothing at all! Best wishes to everyone!

caught myself! Spending more time focusing on my bad than the good. Expecting my boyfriend to fill in the gaps with positives, when it should be ME. Here's goes my positive for the day. This morning I put on my fat pants, again, and the went on easier than last week. No struggle for the button or zip. I have not lost weight, but I appear to have lost some size. Good for ME!

I have challenged me to succeed at losing just 10 pounds.
I have a daily challenge to myself to get on the exercise bike and the treadmill.
PS: Once I lose 10, the next challenge will be to lose 10 pounds.....lol A running challenge....I know, but if I look at the total I get overwhelmed.

Before working towards a healthier lifestyle eating right and becoming more fit my sedentary lifestyle was putting me in a negative frame of mind. Now that I am looking after "ME" I find I am thinking more positive towards others and don't argue with my TV set as much. I don't seem to get irritated near as much. My fitness challenge is to burn 500 calories/day, tell my wife I love her throughout the day, and pet my dog and say kind stuff. Work on yourself and it will spill onto others.

Do you have anything that you challenge yourself to do? Daily, weekely, hourly, lol?
My challenge is to keep my attitude toward myself in a positive mode. I need to quit being so mean to myself! I do it all the time--you failed, you were ugly to that person, you cheated, you are fat, you are lazy, you can't. ENOUGH already! I'm going to work on feeding MYSELF the same positive attitude that I feed others, after all, I do have to live with ME!
