My workout was deep water aerobics for 75 minutes. I did spend 15 minutes in a hydrotherapy pool prior to doing my deep water work. My achy pains were settled prior to my workout. Hurrah!

I work out in the water; swimming & exercise classes for 2 hrs, 5 days a week. Without the water workout, I am in pain within 3 days. I am 79 and have athritis inherited from both my parents. So far no operations, no replacement parts.

I spent an hour on my hands and knees digging in the garden. Planted a few herbs and pulled up some weeds.
I made a point of walking up and down a few extra flights of stairs.
Long walks are tough. Between orthopedic challenges and the depression that's set in around them, just getting out side is hard some days.
Today I walked to the grocery store, walked around in the isles. Didn't even break 3,500 steps, but that's more than I've been doing many days.

I did 32 minutes of Wii Fit Plus and then decided to take the dogs for a walk. It ended up being a pretty short walk, we came back home when it started hailing!

I've been gone all day (tomorrow too). I left at 7:30 this morning and it's 6:45 in the evening now. I'm trying to post something on all my teams before I make dinner. No exercise today, I'm taking a weekend long class and can't very well get up and do jumping jacks or something in the middle of it. I had a small breakfast, packed a lunch and am too tired to eat much for dinner so at least my calorie count won't suffer much.

My exercise minutes today turned out to be a bit of a surprise for me. I started out the day thinking maybe I'd have a more relaxing day and take a bit of an exercise break. I've been trying to log 500 calories a day and when all you're doing is low impact exercises it's pretty time consuming. So today I thought, "I'll just do my 38 minute Wii Fit routine, that doesn't take too long." When that was done I thought, maybe Wii Fit Island Run would add a few more calories and it only takes about 5 more minutes. Then I discovered the unopened Wii Sports discs that came with my Wii Fit (3 years ago) and thought, maybe I'll try tennis. I did, I hated it so I tried baseball. Hated it more. I'm not a sports fan, even the virtual kind evidently but it gave me a few more minutes. I was finally ready to call it quits and my husband said, "I think I'll go for a short bike ride, want to come with me?". Why not? My calorie burned total for the day ended up being 510.

Wow! That's great! What kind of exercise do you do sitting in a chair. When I have a good day with this leg I can do 20-30 minutes aerobics. That's about it. I can walk for about 40 minutes. I finished getting my Supartz injections. I'm praying and hoping they kick in soon!

I took a walk through our woods with my dogs. They had a blast as the charged thourh the fallen leaves. It is warm (75) today and quite windy. I have to go by minutes instead of miles. I have plantar fasciatis and the rough terrain does not make an easy time of it.

I was up early and went for a walk. Just a mile today. Due to the heat and my making myself sick awhile back, I decided until it cools down, I will have to be happy with just going that far. My Asthma is really pulling me down this week! The humidity will do that. plus I have been trying to clean, deep clean my house, and go through closets! Yug!!! What a job! But I'm getting there. Have to finish up on the spare bedroom today. My back and hips get to hurting so then I have to take a break. Hi, I'm on my break right now. But will have to get back to it soon. I will try to get some other exercises done this afternoon to add to my walk. I hope you all are doing well. And you have a fairly pain free day. Take care and God Bless, cris

Two different sessions in the pool today. First one with about 10 minutes lap swimming and 30 minutes aqua-aerobics, 10 minutes stretches. Second session 10 minutes lap swimming. Just started the swimming. So much easier on the joints than the martial arts classes twice a week!

Same as everyday. 4 dogwalks (weather permitting.....one is longer than others).....for a total of 40-80 minutes daily
20-30 minutes of leg exercises before I get out of bed....leg lifts, knee flexes, foot flexes, shoulder stretches and hand exercises. Gets the blood flowing...loosens up joints...and lessens the pain of getting out of bed. And.......I'm noticing, my very sick knees are beginning to feel betterr (been doing these faithfully every morning-5:30 am- for about 2 months).
And....I must be burning calories because I really work at it....and 'feel the burn'. regards, Libby

Physical therapy with 2 lbs weights (went up in weight today) and a walk (inside) around the office once. I'm supposed to do the walking every hour, but I'm trying to do better. I just get involved in my work and don't remember until the pain gets really bad in my knee. *Then* do I remember!
