Sounds like a great recipe. I'll have to buy some protein powder ... my nutrition tracking often comes up short on protein even though I am not a vegetarian.

I love McCann's Irish Oatmeal. It is so good. I just plain love oatmeal .. except the instant kind.

When I started my lifestyle change journey two years ago with a Weight Watcher's point counting diet, I learned to eat breakfast for the first time in my life. Just the thought of the oatmeal I would consume for breakfast kept my on my strict diet in the evening and made leap out of bed in the morning.

Sound weird, I know, but I just love oatmeal. I like McCann's because it yields a lot more food than Quaker.

Sounds like a really great recipe.

Made this morning and I usually HATE oatmeal but this was actually pretty good. Used organic oats to begin with so they did not become as mushy.

1 1/4 cups oatmeal
3/4 cup milk
3/4 cup water
half cup mixed dried cherry/blueberry/cranberry
half cup walnut chopped
2 T brown rice protien powder
1 T bee pollen

Cooked this together in a little over half an hour in the rice cooker. Served mine with about 1/4 cup milk. Daughter liked with 1/2 cup milk and a tsp agave necter to make it sweeter.
