It seems like some of us have gotten cold feet, including myself due to I got sick with the flu for over two weeks and for some reason now I feel tire all of the time. But we still have a few weeks left and we can still do some damage control.

We can still kick butt what is left in December to get ready for next Challenge starting in January.

Come on Teams it is not too late. Let's get back on our feet and finish what we started. We are not quitters we are overcomers!!!

Hey everyone. I just finished my workout for the day. Wanted to share because I fought with myself over it for a few hours before I finally said to myself, "You'll feel great if you do it and guilty if you don't so just do it." I popped in Jillian Michaels' Cardio Kickbox and got it done. And I must say...it feels great! :) (Especially considering all the calories I ingested today.) Hope all is well with everyone else.

Marsha, thanks for the walking tip. I really do keep the pace up. I walk the dog twice a day and we get going at quite a clip. I love walking at this time of year as it is getting quite a bit colder and I can go faster without getting too warm. Have a great day everyone. maureen

Maureen, I just left you a short note on the weighin thread. To make sure you're getting maximum benefits from walking remember to do it at a pace that gets your heart beat up enough to give you a good workout. But, I understand with the eating it's hard to not gain sometimes. This happens, you sound like you've got it under control though. Great job, on brushing this off and getting back on the ball again.

Hi, I have been very busy for the last month and have actually put on weight. I walked every day but when I was away I ate too much. I'm very much back on track now. It's snowing here this morning but I will take the dog out shortly for 30 minutes. Have a great day. Maureen

Janet, that's great about your new dvd/vcr. Isn't so frustrating trying to exercise and stepping over pets/ or in my case children. That's why I don't even try anymore. If I'm going to do a tape I do it early before the kids are even up, I can't do tapes while they're up. Been off the wagon exercise wise this week due to personal issues, but I did get off my behind and do 3 miles on the treadmill last night. So I'm trying to get back on the ball now. Wonderfull stress reliever for everything.

The weather is nasty here in upstate NY. Raining and a chance of a torando tonight. That is unusual. And tomorrow a chance of snow.
Good night to stay inside and clean house.
I bought a new DVD/VCR combo today to put in the bedroom so I do my exercise tapes in private and don't have to worry about the dog, I can shut her out of the room.

I got
*Leslie Sansone Walk Slim Fast and Firm 4 Miles
*Jillian Michaels, 30 Day Shred (for when I'm stronger)
*Jillian Michaels Frontside & Backside for Beginners
and Cardio Kickbox (it was a set of the 3)

Last Week I had ordered
* Leslie Sansone Walk Away Your Waistline with the Walk Away Belt.

My favorite one of all the ones I have so far from the ones I have done is the Leslie Sansone "WATP for Abs 3 Miles" This one is great, She really works you, you have to get it with the Walk Away Belt. I found these cheaper at Amazon.com then it their own websites, better deals and prices plus I read reviews which helped me to make up my mind. Reviews were great for all these choices.

I got it back on track today. FINALLY got to the gym and did some cardio and strength training and I am feeling good. I don't want to screw it up and go overboard with calories. It's crazy what a difference a workout can make. :)

I'm in, walking is where it all started for me. I may not be able to increase above the 40-70 miles per week I am logging, but I will keep going. Sunday night is my official my in and I was 253. I will report back my progress tonight.

Hi there everyone. Well, how do you feel after our first week of the challenge?? Have you re-weighed yourself this morning?? I did and I lost a pound, I'm off to the Sunday weigh-in thread to post that. I encourage you to weigh-in each week and share with us your progress so we can congratulate you. You don't have to come in saying 'I weigh xx lbs. and lost xxlbs.' You could just pop in and say 'Hey everyone, guess what, I lost xx lbs. this week.' It helps keep you accountable too. I love the feeling of getting on that scale on Sunday mornings and seeing the #'s go down. Woo Hoo.

I am not having a good start with this challenge. I caught the flu along with my husband and daughter this week and have not been able to move. Today I feel like I just have a cold. I am hoping for a fresh start by Monday.

WATP-Walk Away The Pounds, a series of exercise DVD's by Leslie Sansone. They are awesome and you can do in your own living room or even bedroom Not too much space is needed. You can google Leslie Samsone or Wak Away The Poundds online. She's pretty popular. She has different levels from 1-5 miles but it's not boring, time flies. I first got me her 1-3 mile collection and I found the 1-2 miles were to mild for me so now I use mostly the 3-4 miles working my way to 5. I recommend her DVD's if you are looking for alternative and variety.

I just finished sweating my booty off on the treadmill. I only did 30 mins but they were intense (at least 20 mins of it). Getting ready to do some crunches and then a nice hot bath. My left calf is sore and my shoulders too. Must be yesterday's strength training and these WATP videos. Yikes! But it will be all worth it.

Okay We have divided into 2 groups check out list below to see which team you are in. Teams where not chosen with any preference just the order names were typed in.

Once you know what team you belong to go find that team's thread (which I will be posting shortly) and copy your info from here and paste it there. The info I am talking about is what you have done so far, if you just started challenge than you just need to post a comment with the dates like mine and as you do challenge just fill it in always using the same box by editing it, updating and resaving it. This threads are only for reporting our progress everything else will be done on this thread; chatting, suggestions, comments, concerns, etc....

As of right now I got 28 names of people who said here they were in. That means there will be 14 people in each team but that can grow.

I will divide us and then I will start 2 threads one will be "TEAM YESI-End Of Year Challenge" and the other one will be "TEAM MARSHA-End Of Year Challenge"

Once you see what team you belong to than you are going to copy and paste your info from here on to there and like I said before instead of posting a new comment each day just edit your previous comment update and save. If you have any questions, suggestions, comments, or simply want to chat about challenge, etc... just come to this thread and post here.
I hope I am not confusing anyone. Once we get organized I promise this will be much simpler.

Great! I will collect all of the names on this thread that have posted they are participating and then post the list with all of the names so you guys can see it. and A.S.A.P I will divide the names into two groups: and post it as well.

It also was suggested to start a new Thread where it is strictly for posting our daily progress, each person is asked to go to this thread and post their name and follow the format I post and each time instead of posting a new comment just find your box click on edit and updated by adding the new info and then click save. This ways the thread does not become super long. How does that sound???

We will keep this thread to come here and chat about challenge or post any questions, suggestions, etc... New thread will be only for posting our progress, What we can do is copy and paste our latest info from here onto the new thread so you do not lose what you have done already.

I know alot of us are in different levels here, if you are a slower level no worries, you just keep doing what you have been doing, 1 mile is better than no miles, 50 calories is better than 0 calories (burned that is). Do not become intimidated because it's a team thing now. Our goal is still for us to get moving at whatever pace but working our way up. We have to start somewhere. Whatever level you are now just focus on increasing it a bit each week as you see fit.

Also, anyone can join our challenge at any time, better late than never.

I'm in. I weighed myself this morning and I am at 181. I walk 5 days a week for approx. 60 minutes total but I can add to that with my Leslie Sansone walking tapes. It rains alot here in BC but I still have to walk as I never learned to drive. Let me know whose team I will be on, if there will be teams.

Ok I'm in.

I teach fitness classes twice a week. Lately, that is all that I have been doing. Nothing else in between.

I was feeling like I needed to really sit down and make a point of doing something else to get active just for me.

I have two goals, to get in 30-45 minutes 5 days a week, and to post at least 5 times here too!

I already walked this morning for 40 minutes. So one day down.

Keep it up everyone!

I just joined this team and quite honestly this challenge scares me to death. Can I really walk for 30 minutes 5 days a week? It's not the actual walking, it's the commitment. Well, I'm going to commit and challenge myself to do this. I have started weighing myself only once a month because the scales were driving me crazy and I was weighing myself every day.

My weight on NOV 1 was 209.6 I'll weigh again on DEC 1.

Hi all. I want to apologize for getting into this late. I originally agreed to do this wholeheartedly before I strained my achilles tendon last week. I've had to back off a little bit (doctor's orders) but I got the green light yesterday to get back to it so I plan to use today as a "catch up" day as best I can. I'm off today for Election Day (government offices in Kentucky close for that) so I will have the whole day to WATP and elliptical myself to complete exhaustion! I can't wait! Will update this post as the day wears on.

Rebecca

If it's comfortable or easy then nothing is changing.

I won't be able to keep this up.. But
I will do my best to help my body one day at a time.

Count me out of this challenge. I am dealing with serious grief issues and can't do anything like this justice right now. Good luck to all of you, but one day at a time means a slow pace for me for the time being. I am just happy moving finally.
