For your Health and Well Being
Father God, I commit to live a healthy lifestyle this day. My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and therefore I treat it with care and respect. I will not consume foods that will harm my health and deplete my body of nutrients. I will eat those things that will help me to maintain a healthy body and a sharp mind.

I will separate myself unto God honoring Him in all I do, including my eating habits. I choose this day to consume that which is nutritional and will provide the proper vitamins and nutrients to maintain my body at its optimum health.

I exercise regularly so that my muscles and bones will be strong, and I have all the energy I need to get through my day. My life is well balanced according to God’s plan for me. I will rest and get sufficient amount of sleep in order for my body to be rejuvenated and refreshed daily. I will awake to a new day ready to build the Kingdom of God with strength and vigor.

I keep my body under the subjection and my flesh has no control over me. I cancel every craving and desire for all things that will be harmful and destructive to my body and health. I decree they have no power or control over me.

I control my appetite and desires by the Spirit of God. I live according to the fruit of the Spirit which is self control. I am free from any bondage or unhealthy addictions, because he who the Son sets free is free indeed.

I ask God for wisdom today to make wise choices in my eating habits and to help me prepare good foods for my family as well.

I will have a healthy daily regimen and see my strong and full of life. I walk according to the Spirit and do not fulfill the lust of the flesh. I command my body to obey me and I will set an example for
others to follow. I will glorify God in everything that I do and others will see and be blessed. In Jesus name.

If anyone has been able to do it before, you can do it too. If no one has ever done it, you can be the first.

What seems out of your reach now, gets closer the moment you begin working toward it. There is a way to achieve what you choose, when you commit yourself to continue taking action.

If you could have it all instantly, it would not be worth having. For the real value of accomplishment is in the accomplishing.

You are smart, and motivated, and flexible and resourceful. When you decide to make it happen, you will surely find your way there.

Focus on the reason for doing it, the deepest reason you can find within yourself. That will keep you going as long as necessary.

Achievement is yours to create, when it's something to which you're truly committed. Get it done, and know the special joy of making the world a better place.

When Things Go Wrong

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
So don't give up, though the pace seems slow –

Often the goal is nearer than
it seems to a fain and faltering man,

MOUNTAINS TO CLIMB

Some days I get tired
of fighting it all,
The more I seem to try,
the more I fall.
And as I study
my accomplishments in review,
I realize they've been rather few.

No wonder I ask myself,
"Why struggle today?"
"Why not give up?"
That's the easy way.
But the universe's architect,
in His infinite plan,
Designed a challenge
to make a man a man.

The stumbling blocks of life
He placed in our way,
Are merely stairsteps
to success each day.

Dr. Phil:

May not be the most well spoken...but it sure fits me and most of the people I meet who struggle with any kind of addiction. So many problems in our lives are self induced, and if we cannot see it...we cannot change it. We have to be able to see what needs to be changed in us...and I believe God is our best source to show us what, when and how! His Word!

My plan is to "never quit."
I believe that failure to plan is a plan to fail. God is able to do all that He calls us to do. He asks us politely to treat ourselves well. The least we can do is respond and use all that He provides to help us to do just that.
