I love the non-scale victories!!
So far some of mine are jeans are fitting looser and I'm in a size the scale says i shouldn't be in yet; my vitals are SO much better! bp is 120/60, my O2 was 100% yesterday, pulse is around 68; i was able to really push myself on a treadmill workout without getting nearly as winded as i did in the past; i'm enjoying veggies and fruits so much more than i have in the past and i turn to them first instead of junk food; and the biggest one so far is that i had surgery on the 23rd to repair a torn tendon in my ankle and i'm in a cast and on crutches for 2 weeks. Well, the last time i had to use crutches i wasn't going to the gym on a regular basis, certainly wasn't doing strength training and building up my muscles, but this time I have been going to the gym on a regular basis and building my muscles and it has certainly made a difference.
Also, yesterday was one of the first times a doctor or nurse said "so you're a healthy woman." that's because they looked at the entire picture, not just the number on the scale, and that was a good feeling!!
If it's amazing, it won't be easy. If it's easy it won't be amazing. If it's worth it you won't give up. If you give up you're not worth it.
