Barbara - Great job for the month of June. Last place is always a winner too. Staying in the challenge for 2 months straight is a big accomplishment.
I've made a new thread for July tally's.
I agree, I need to pick up the pace with the strength exercise too.

The weekend was half good. The rain on Sat. was awful! Standing in it during the horse show, Ugh.
The wedding was great. No rain to speak of and it was beautiful.

I am up for a challenge but can we make it not so long? Meaning not so many things to keep track of? Summers are my really busy times and as much as I want to keep moving, I don't need more things to track....

Hi everyone! I am probably not going to write here what I've done every day for the next few days. I will catch everyone up on Monday or Tuesday after the wedding. My sister goes home on Tuesday morning so that will be another factor in getting on to the computer.

I think some of the members on the Pedometer challenge know a bit about the heart rate ones -- you might want to put a question out there about it.
Things are sort of calmed down. My daughter's dog attacked my dog on Saturday and she is pretty bit up but on her way to healing but the biggest stressor is that my son's wife has up and left him for no good reason that she is saying(she is 19 he is 20-- they got married less than 1 1/2 years ago) and he is all the way in Yuma so I can't be there to comfort -- it sadly sounds very much like something happened there while he was here visiting --- I just have to calm myself and be aware of what I can and can't do and be at peace about that -- it's very hard -- thanks for asking about it emoticon

That is a great idea about trying to meet up. I know Barbara is planning on a meeting on that Spark weekend but I couldn't do it then. If we can find a good time for all of us, that would be great. If Barbara is interested, I think she is in the Scottsville area. We could possibly find somewhere half way between all of us.

About the pedometer, I haven't had a chance to get out yet so I am estimating for the pedometer team and I'm making sure I don't over estimate. I feel naked without it, LOL. I probably won't have a chance to get out until this weekend to get another one but I'm really interested in looking at those combo heart rate monitor/pedometers. Do you know much about them?

How have you been doing lately, I know you had a lot going on. Is everything falling back into place for you yet?

Wow 12,000 steps. I bet you've been doing a lot more all along then you think.
I got up this morning and my pedometer won't work so I am really bummed. I just got this one not even a month ago after I lost the last one.
I probably should invest in a better one this time, I'm even thinking of looking at the heart rate monitors that have pedometers on them. For now, I will just estimate my steps until I figure it out.

I finally got a pedometer and yesterday I did 12000 steps! No wonder I am tired by 7 pm!

Sounds like you are having quite the week. Like Cathy said, don't forget to count other activities that you do as cardio. That housecleaning and gardening can be counted as cardio. I believe in the cardio tab under fitness, one of the choices is "heavy housecleaning". As far as tracking your food to stay within the calories, just do your best until things settle down. I'm sure its busy with the wedding coming up. Keep me posted and let me know how its going.

Brenda,
the hardest thing for me now is that I have my daughter's wedding in 2 weeks and my house is a mess and I have to get it cleaned because my sister( a neat freak) is coming. I also have to get my garden in, which I have asked for help with but....you know how that goes.
On top of all that, we said we would trailer some horses to their new home and one of the horses took us 2 & 1/2 hours to get on the trailer....
So I am now behind 2 hours...Sorry, don't mean to complain but I am feeling so behind.
This is going to be a test of...can I stay in my cal range and eat what I should. Gotta say that I am looking forward to the wedding cake..LOL If I can stay on track I will reward myself with a large piece.
I am just not used to all this activity.

I am going to be out of commission, for the month of June. I will be having my abdominoplasty and lower body lift on June 2.


RNY Bariatric Surgery 1/22/08
294 -Start of Program
198 -Six Month Check-Up
172 -under goal before leaving for Texas in November
162-under one year goal
157 - I am so excited, I can not remember being in my 15o's.
147 - Below my personal goal weight.
June 2009 - abdominoplasty and lower body lift.
Oct. 2009 - 22 months ago morbity Obese today I am now petite. And would do it all again in a heartbeat.
Oct. 2010 - Still very happy with my decision to have
