I love working out with my baby(10 1/2 months). I really can think of only a few times that where he was sleeping or with dad during my cardio workouts.
I have a great baby carrier(ergobaby) and I just put him in and we go on the elliptical. It's great, I get a super workout with and he it falls asleep everytime.
With weight lifting and pilates it is a different story. Usually he is there right next to me when I do pilates, although I try to do it at night when he is asleep if I really want a good pilates/weight lifting workout. It helps that we have an ellipitcal at home, and that we have some free weights at home too.
