I love working out with my baby(10 1/2 months). I really can think of only a few times that where he was sleeping or with dad during my cardio workouts.

I have a great baby carrier(ergobaby) and I just put him in and we go on the elliptical. It's great, I get a super workout with and he it falls asleep everytime.

With weight lifting and pilates it is a different story. Usually he is there right next to me when I do pilates, although I try to do it at night when he is asleep if I really want a good pilates/weight lifting workout. It helps that we have an ellipitcal at home, and that we have some free weights at home too.

Yoga with the baby is more along the lines of what I was thinking. I'm already working and taking grad classes, so I'm trying to incorporate my baby into my exercise routine. Then, hopefully she'll also be "in the routine" that its good to get moving every day!

Some of the things that I do are using a dvd while the baby is sleeping, getting up extra early to go to the gym next door while the family is still sleeping. I have also read about doing Yoga with the baby. I also found this Message Board www.sparkpeople.com/ma/Exercising-re

I just joined recently, and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on ways to exercise WITH your baby?

I take her on walks - stroller or carrier
We also "dance" around the kitchen (I hold her and dance)

I'm looking for some more ideas to turn our quality time into quality fitness time too! emoticon
