It's good to see you on here Gabby! I bet you are just counting down the days :) I'm so excited to see pictures of your new LO with his big brother and sister! Do you have a name picked out?

Hello Everyone!!!

I feel like I haven't updated in forever. I have had a really busy past week. My aunt is in town from Florida, so we have been visiting with her a lot. I'm still pregnant, but I don't think for much longer. I have been taking the terbutaline, but I still get contractions. At my next appointment, they will check me and I guess I'll see if I have dilated past what I already am. Either way, I have less than a month, so if he stays in another month, there is an end in sight!

I'm so looking forward to having my body back. I am promising myself, in a month, no matter how sleep deprieved I am that I wont' complain because I won't be in this physical pain that I'm in now. This baby is really taking up a lot of room, the biggest baby yet. I'm a little nervous about how big he'll get.

Anyways, I hope everyone is doing well. I really want those shape ups too. Everyone that I know that has them, loves them!!! I wish they would go on sale already!!!

That's good motivation at least, right? My goal was to be to 155 by my trip. I'm getting close, but still have about 3 lbs to go! I'm not sure I can do that by next Saturday, but I can sure try!

Thanks! I'm hoping my daughter enjoys it. She just turned 2 and doesn't really like sitting still for long! I'll let you know how that goes!

Lucky you! I've never even been to the beach before! But we're going to Galveston this summer! FINALLY- now that I'm 28 years old and fat I'll be able to swim in the beach! I'm hoping to lose 15 pounds by the time we go on June 20th.

Thanks for the article! Yeah, I didn't get to wear them today since they would have looked funny with my outfit, but maybe I'll take a walk after work in them. I'll let you know what I think!

And we're going to DisneyWorld in Florida. It's going to be my 3rd trip there. I LOVE Disneyworld! lol I've also always wanted to go to Disney on Ice...Have fun!

I have heard about those shoes but haven't talked to anyone that has them. I would like to give them a try though! Give us a review after you've worn them for a while!

Just saw this on Yahoo, I haven't had a chance to read it all yet but saw that the Shape ups were on there so I thought you might be interested. I'm needing a new pair of shoes badly! health.yahoo.com/featured/102/wd-rev

Well, I guess as long as the shoes are comfortable, I'm ok with it even if they don't do anything else! lol I plan to wear them as much as possible in the next week or so to make sure that they are comfortable, and then I'm taking them with me to Disney, where I will be doing a LOT of walking. 9 days and counting! lol

Like I said, it's just the way I see them. No biggy. I wouldn't tell anyone not to try them but I can honestly say I won't be. From the walking that I've been doing in the past 3 weeks I can already see a HUGE difference in my leg muscles (front and back muscles). I do walk hills and stairs on my walks in the city and when I walk at home I'm pushing a stroller and have several hills. I also saw a lot of definition in my leg muscles when I was doing the Couch to 5k program. I think it depends more on the exercise than the shoes LOL

Depends on what you mean by "good"- it makes different parts of the legs (primarily the back of the thighs and butt) do more work. Getting those parts to work more can't be bad, right? It's like doing resistance exercises...only while you're doing what you would be doing otherwise. ::shrug:: but I only know how it's helped my m in law- she's lost almost 50 lbs on Spark and she thinks that the shoes are helping her legs be stronger which is helping her do more.

Haven't gotten any but I can say that I don't believe they actually do any good. That's just my opinion though. I'm on the look out for some good shoes, I'd like a pair of cross trainers or something. I wear a size 9 and my feet are a little on the wide side so if I wear shoes that are too narrow they make my feet feel numb :(

My mother in law got the sketchers one (the "real" ones) and liked them enough that she went back and got the more professional looking ones (more like mary janes, less like sneakers) AND got a pair for my father in law. Now, my mother in law is all about the bargain and what's cheap, so the fact that she has now dropped $300+ on shoes tells me that they HAVE to be good!

Sadly, I'm an 11-12 so sketchers has nothing for me. ::sigh::

I agree, it is tough! I always tend to lose my momentum after a few weeks. I'm just now making it a point to track my food again, and make better choices. So, we can all keep each other accountable!

I also bought some of those "shape-ups" shoes today. I got a cheaper version of them, and have been wearing them for about 3 hours now, and my shins are hurting (like shin splints). I'm not sure it's related, but I'm hoping I didn't just buy a pair of shoes I can't handle wearing! Anyone have any experience with those? Heard anything? I just bought them on a whim...

Making the time for exercise and eating healthy is hard. I'll feel like I'm getting the hang of it and then I'll have a tough week! But just keep at it! If you do good 50% of the time it's better than not trying at all. This week has actually started off good for me. I walked for 20 minutes (1.3 miles) on my break yesterday and did 20 minutes on the elliptical, used my 3lb dumbbells and did crunches last night. I also stooped on my way home from work yesterday and got some bananas and oranges for snacks this week and some romain lettus and light ranch dressing for salads. I'm hoping to lose a couple of pounds this week. Staying on track is hard though :(

WOO HOO! That's the spirit! You can do it and I'm right there with you! I am really struggling with finding time to do ANYTHING diet related (i.e., plan meals, grocery shop, work out) but I HAVE to figure out a way to make it work. We can do this!

Ok! I'm going to be writing up a blog, but I'll say it here first...

I'm back- I'm going to do this! I've already lost the baby weight, time to work on the more! Last night I set up the wii for the first time in forever (seriously- I set up the ds room for more room to exercise right before the SuperBowl and had YET to use it! Crazy!) and I intend to get some exercising done! I'm going to eat more frequently and keep track! And I have the first half of my water sitting here with me and I'm going to do that every day, 64oz!

Ok, it's been said, it MUST HAPPEN! ::grin::
have fun!

Hey ladies! I just noticed that I missed a lot in last week's roll call so I'm going to go back and read that to catch up! In the meantime, "talk amongst yourselves"! LOL!
