Hi Ladies! I think I missed getting the notification yesterday... I'm having an off day today. I had a 1400 calorie lunch (Yikes!-Arby's)and have just no energy to do anything. Not sure what's going on. And now I'm craving a candy bar! But I'm not giving into that one.

Good news though...The company that bought us out is switching us to their holiday schedule meaning that we now get Feb. 15 (president's day) and our birthdays off as paid vacations! WOOHOO! Plus I'm taking this coming Monday and Tuesday off since my babysitter is going to be out of town. I'm really looking forward to 2 short weeks :)

I totally hear you ladies about hubbys not helping out! Mine zones into the TV so bad sometimes, I just want to smack him. He probably wouldn't even notice if I did lol He thinks that since his job requires manual labor (he frames houses) he shouldn't have to do anything when he gets home. If only I could just zone out in front of the TV at night. Sheesh!

My mom and I can never figure out what they do all day... (ok, mine was playing video games, I know this).

Last night we got a lot of cleaning done though, after I was ready to beat him with a broomstick cause he had played a game for 3 hours. He admitted that he shouldn't have and didn't realise what the time was, etc. BUt I was already mad so it only helps this morning.

I'm seriously looking at going back to school for my MLIS. Scary thought to go back into school debt after having gotten out of it, but the course listings are making me bouncy just looking at them...

Hope everyone's ok- we look to be getting some snow this weekend, yet another day of shoveling with no time off school! ::sigh::

Have fun!

Good morning ladies. Sorry I didn't get this out earlier. I had planned to put my kids to bed then go back downstairs and get some more stuff done but their warm little bodies sucked me in and I was out for the night! LOL!

MOXY, let's talk about husbands who don't do anything when they're home all day. My hubby's new shift at work has him working Saturday, Sunday & Monday. That means he has Tuesday through Friday off. You would think my house would be freakin' SPOTLESS, wouldn't you??? No, there are dishes in the sink with moldy food in them! (I can't believe I just admitted that.) I work 8-5 Monday thru Friday then I'm basically a single mom on the week-ends since that's when he's at work and I STILL try to get a little bit of laundry done and the kitchen cleaned up. Okay, okay...sorry, I'll stop. Just had to vent.

Gabby, so glad you checked in. I have really been worried about you. I still can't believe you were fired. Have you talked to them to see if they might possibly change their mind and just give you a write up? Are you going to contest it at all? I hope you and your family are okay. I know how hard it is to try to make it on one income these days. Hang in there sweetie! Try to focus on the positive and what you can do, not on the negative and what has happened to you. Sending you tons of positive energy and HUGS!!
