Jen, I haven't seen the Parents magazine but I will definitely look for it next time I'm at the store. Sorry to hear about your blood sugar. I don't know a lot about that stuff but I'm always in favor of a high protein diet as long as you're still having fruits & veggie & fiber too! I make a breakfast sandwich every morning with an egg, a sandwich thin and a slice of cheese. It's really yummy and full of protein!

Hi ladies! Has anyone taken a look at the "lose the baby weight" diet in the February issue of Parents magazine? It's pretty simple and has some easy meal ideas.
I'm committing to eating a high protein breakfast every day this week in hopes it will help control my hunger better throughout the day. My fasting blood sugar has crept up over 125 again despite my increased exercise so I'm trying anything and everything to try to bring it back down. I called my doc about it and she wasn't concerned because my post meal numbers are below goal, but having my fasting blood glucose consistently high is very frustrating,:(
Long day ahead- Game Shelf Reorganization Day (helping a batchelor friend at whose house we play board games get his space a little more together for when we are all over there. I expect lunch to be pizza or chinese since I have NEVER seen real food in his house (I said "Oh! Carrots!" and he reminded me that they were mine that I had brought one night as my snack. Ah well.)
Sunday is singing...and then the weekend is over. Ah well! I'll find my fun where I can! Last night I did wii fit free run while playing a different video game where the char is running...I got 42 minutes of "running" in and got to play my game as well! Huzzah!
