Hey THIN_MOMMY, thanks for the kudos! It's always nice to be acknowledged for my efforts! I ended up doing pretty good on my calories yesterday! In fact, I had a King Size Reese's Christmas Tree in my purse from the holidays that I had managed to keep from eating and the kids and I were hungry so I split it with them. I got to have a taste of my favorite candy but didn't eat all 400+ calories myself!

Gabby, WOO HOO on finding out you're having a boy! Congrats to you! And congrats on your walk and congrats on finding a new place! Wow, you have had a pretty darn eventful week! LOL!

Hello Everyone!!!


Had my ultrasound on Friday and we are having another boy!!! I'm pretty surprised because I all but had a girls name picked out thinking it was a girl. I joked saying a few weeks ago, this must be a boy because I have so much frustration I guess I was right. Also, I have had prolonged nausea and I had that with my son too. I'm very happy any which way, he is healthy and active, what more can I be thankful for.

For exercise I finally got a walk in, it was one mile, but its more than I did all week, so yay!!!

Hope everyone enjoys their sunday!!!

On another positive, we found the place we will be moving into, a single house with everything pretty much updated and its affordable!!!

MJA716-- Great self control with the salad and the pizza/ice cream. Also a great reminder that we CAN have those things-- if we keep ourselves honest about how much we are consuming. Happy Weekend!

Hey ladies!

It's Saturday evening and I'm working on my computer so I thought I would check in! Hubby went out and picked up pizza for him & his buddy while they watch football and I had him stop at Subway and buy me a salad. YAY ME!! We had pizza last night and I was good and only did two pieces then I measured out my ice cream for dessert so I made sure I didn't get more than one serving. WOO HOO! It feels so good to know that I'm making an honest effort to watch what I eat!

PARKER1031, WELCOME and congrats on BOTH of your new babies!! LOL! I love it when new mommies join our group. It's so hard losing weight when you are a mommy. I don't think people who aren't mommies can truly understand what it's like. My advice to you is to take it slow & easy and most definitely DON'T BEAT YOURSELF UP!! Don't try and cut out all bad food at once or promise yourself that you're never going to eat sugar again. If you do that you're just setting yourself up for failure! Start with drinking lots of water or adding more fruits & veggies to your diet. Then add on from there. And walking is AWESOME exercise. Can you put the kids in a stroller and take them for a walk? If it's cold where you are, head to the nearest mall! You'll be amazed how good it makes you feel!!

And welcome THIN_MOMMY too!! Don't worry, we all totally understand getting started and not doing well. It's SO hard to lose weight when you've got so much other stuff going on in your life. I think we all know about the "continuously tired and unwell" feeling. I know it's hard to do but you have to remember to take care of yourself too!! You can't take care of anybody else if you're not well. When you're tired and frustrated, stop for a second and ask yourself "What's bothering me right now and what can I do this very second to make myself feel better?". I know it doesn't sound like much but sometimes it helps just to acknowledge to yourself that YOU are important and do something to make yourself feel better!
