so, how's it going? I have been so busy!Thursday I neglected to workout so I had to do extra time on cardio Friday..amazing how 5 minutes is hard to find sometimes! I am eally tired from doing so much this week, and Garrett has been off schedule and up at 4am lately..fun! On a plus, I have lost 1 pound since starting my 5 min/day cardio..yay! and, my pre-peg jeans are loose...
well, just wanted to check in while I had a sec...anything to report with you? Hope all is well...

I think 130 is very thin for 5'8! Unless you're Heidi Klum:) I am not even aiming to be that thin...I carry most of my weight in my butt hips and thighs, and I have very large breasts, which must weigh at least 10 pounds a piece now that I am BF!!LOL I think if I reach 160, that would be great, and it still sounds heavy for 5'2, but honestly the thinnest I ever was was 158, and I looked good in my opinion, and I started losing my breasts, which meant it was time to stop!

I should start logging my food in a journal...I just hate to think about everything I eat, especially since I snack here and there during the day, and don't really have an idea of how much I am eating. But it still should do it and I know I'll be more conscious of what I am eating...I think it's great that you have the willpower to do it everyday!

I have little excuse to be a slacker since my kids are older(well, you know, a little bit, lol), but when I did this before to lose weight for my wedding, I kept a little notepad to write my food down then log it later when I had time. I may have to do that again...I started using cloth diapers with Garrett this week and it makes alot more laundry!
Yes, 12 yrs apart is weird, but my older son, Trenton is so proud of his little brother, and he is really helpful around the house!
Humid here too...yuck! I sweat just walking around the house.
I've never been thin either...in high school I was 130, and thought I was fat(cuz you know all the other girls are soooo skinny), but I think to be 130 again would be horrible! I am aiming for ultimately 150, but I don't want to get too little and lose my hips and chest!
Hope you get time and energy to start walking this week...my friend is off work Mondays and we started walking at the mall--Mondays only, but a nice little break from my elliptical machine! We walked 4 or 5 miles, and it went really quick since we were chatting!
Thanks for checking in with me! I think even if you don't get on every day, I will still have incentive to post my food and exercise since I know you MIGHT get on to check up on me...sometimes I just need that extra push!

Hi Bethetay,
I will try to check my email on a daily basis to see if you have responded...I usually find time during the week, however the weekends sometimes get hectic and I might slack off until the following MOnday.
Having children 12 years apart must be a unique experience! My mother had me when she was 19 also, and she says that she made a lot of mistakes back then, but I guess it was easier on her physically.

I need to get a mug and keep it with me...that's a great idea! I live in Pittsburgh, so the weather does get hot...usually between 80-90, but nothing as warm as it probably is where you are! We have high humidity here which makes it FEEL 10 degrees hotter than it is....:(

You're quite tall, I am only 5'2 and I have always been curvy and never thin. I am going to try to start walking this week if I can. TTYL

glad someone can understand the csection thing! I had 1 w/ my other son, but that was when I was 19...easier to lose wt than when you are 31!

I keep a big 32oz mug full of water all day...if I can't get all my water I use crystal light for 1 mug full. water is key to bf and weight loss!

I want to eventually get to around 150, but I'll settle for smaller goals...I am 5'8" and carry the wt pretty well, but I have no energy...so I have to get back into shape.

Where do you live? I am in OK and it's too hot to walk outside w/baby here! We are going to the mal w/ a friend tomorrow to walk, but other than that I just workout at home til weather is cooler!

Shall we have a daily checkin w/ each other? it would encourage me to log my food and exercise more...nice to "meet" you!

Your goals sound alot like mine! I had a c section as well, so I haven't been working out at this point obviously. I have only lost 16 pounds so far, and I gained 34 pounds this pregnancy. I have a 16 month old daughter, and it seems I lost the weight faster with her, but I gained more the first time around. I was 17 pounds away from my goal weight before I got pregant, so I still have about 35 pounds to lose at this point.

I wanna start walking with the baby in the stroller whenever it's nice outside, and I think starting to do housework will help me shed some pounds. I think you're right about BF and being hungry...I'm always hungry! I put reminders in my phone to drink enough water throughout the day, because I always get caught up in something and forget...and I wanna keep my milk up. I had to supplement with my first daughter because I wasn't producing enough milk.

I guess that enough rambling for now...ttyl!

Wow, you just had your baby! Congrats! I have a 12 yr old boy, and just had another boy April 27...he will be 6wks Monday...it doesn't seem like that long ago!
I see you are breastfeeding...awesome! Me, too! I gained 40 lbs this pregnancy, but started out about 50 lbs overweight anyway. I have lost 39 lbs(by the time he was 4wks) just from breastfeeding. I started slowly adding in some exercise this wk...I mean slow! 5 min/day on my elliptical is sometimes all the time I have! I am also lifting light weights and doing some crunches. I had a csection so I am being really cautious right now! I haven't done anything different about my eating for now, because of the breastfeeding I am always hungry, and I don't necessarily watch what I eat..probably why I haven't lost anymore weight in a couple of weeks! After I get the exercise established, I will work on food, but one thing at a time right?
Anyway, my major goal this month is just to get some workouts in, to get back in the pattern...
so, tell me about yourself! What are your goals, longterm and for this month?
