my bmi is 27.9 which is still in the over weight range but a lot better then i was when i started this site if i can go just a little lower to be healthy for me that would be great. I think bmi wants you to be a little too thin to look healthy
Take BMI with a grain of salt. Mine is now 24.8, right on the cusp of "overweight." I'm short and muscular, so I'm always going to be on the higher side.
Actually, the middle of the normal range for my height puts me at a weight at which I once looked profoundly unhealthy. My goal weight is at the top of the normal range!
I don't think it's horrible, but it's strictly height vs weight.

I know this is a touchy subject and you certainly don't have to share if you don't want but I figured this group is all about losing weight so we should feel comfortable talking about our BMIs here. I just checked mine and it is 27.8. It's coming down slowly but surely but I do NOT like being in the Overweight category. Heck, I'm not that far from the Obese category and I don't like that AT ALL. Hopefully this will help me realize how out of shape I have become.
