I never did diets...until I hit 30 I was pretty happy with myself and didn't care much about weight or health. Then after the doc found a lump in my left breast and being asked several times if I was ever told I had high blood pressure it woke me up!
So I started about 2 years ago going to curves. I lost 30 pounds there, then we moved for a new job I had gotten and I got off track. I didn't gain, but I didn't lose any either. Eventually I got back to the gym...and then a few months later found out I was pregnant so I spent my pregnancy watching what I ate carefully and working out until I couldn't anymore. I gained 14 pounds and lost 19 after I had him..lol.
Now I'm back on track with a vengence... I have to make sure I'm around to raise this last one and keep up with him!
I'm jealouse, I could use a break for sure, I hope you had an awesome time at the beach! Sounds like you did.
I track 6 days and then find that on day seven I want to rest, but still end up taking a walk with the kids..lol. I'm addicted to exercising!
I know after a good workout I'm so wore out, but I am surely on a "high" from having acheived my goals another day!
I've also noticed that I am not eating as much..weird huh? I have to check my tracker at the end of the day to make sure I've met those goals and then eat more. It's a hoot watching my kids race around trying to find a snack for me....lol.
Oh yeah, I finally took my measurements today so I can start tracking them and pay less attention to the scale of doom!
Hi! I just got back from a beach trip this weekend, so I haven't been on sparkpeople much.
So... you are a very busy lady :) Wow, 6 days is great. I was working out everyday and was really on a roll with weight loss and motivation. I think I need to get back to a daily workout.
For exercise I like hiking or walking with my husband. But usually I end up going to the gym on the treadmill, elliptical and bike. I have been slacking lately and I think that accounts for my change of attitude - I need my exercise endorphins, lol. I am bad about strength training, but I know I need to do it.
Haha I hear you on the ab muscles. I finally found mine this year. My youngest is just about to turn a year so I know the toll pregnancy can take on one's stomach.

I spend most of my weeks exercising and running endless errands for my kiddos. Not to mention two of them now have their learner's permits...so I get the overwhelming joy of sitting in the passengers seat scared to death...LOLOL!
I have a membership to our local YMCA and me and the kids go there 6 days a week to workout. I am absolutely addicted to the eliptical trainer! I do 50+ mins. of cardio a day....30 mins. on the eliptical and then another 20-30 on a stationary bike.
On mondays I do upper body weights, wed. I do upper and lower body, and then on friday I do lower body again. I also do a 5 day ab video by the Firm that reminds me that under the "baby fat" I really do have ab muscles!
I also go for 30 minute walks a few times a week if the baby is fussy. He loves the outdoors and while my body isn't fond of walking.... he loves it...and what the baby wants, the baby gets...lolol.
So what are your plans and favorite exercises?? I'd love to hear!
Motivated I definitely am! Since I started working out I've had so much more energy and have felt so much better that it's hard not to be. Yep, I have my lows, but they are short and I get myself hyped back up again.
Plus, all these kiddoes keep me on my toes..all the time.
I'm just ready to be healthy and be around to enjoy my kids and hopefully grandkids someday!!

Wow, you still have a tiny one. Congratulations :) My youngest is going turning one in August.
I can totally relate to the baby weight thing. After my first son I lost all my baby weight plus another 20 lbs, then I got pregnant. I never lost the weight with number two and gained another 20 lbs on top of that. I am finally getting my act together after my third baby.
