I am 46 years old and was diagnosed recently with Type 2 Diabetes and severe iron anemia. I took this diagnosis very hard, but also as a "wake-up" call and my goal is to drop between 60-75 pounds and be off the meds within 1 year. A large quantity of my family has diabetes and they have not done anything about it. I am choosing to "win" this battle one day and one pound at a time. I just need to get myself moving -- EXCERCISE. That will be my hardest goal. Eating healthy is something I now how to do and I have been carefully watching -- I've lost 9 pounds in a month
