I hadn't thought about it, but what about using a loaf pan that fits into the crock and making a pound cake, then topping with fresh berries that are popping up in the market?

Wonder if we could find a lower calorie version for the recipe?

I've got 1 small ham and 3 recipes that I'm debating:

1. ham, 2 cans coke (not diet), about 1/2 cup brown sugar (splenda would probably work), dash of ground mustard, dash of cinnamon, cook about 8 hrs on low.

2. ham, 1 can sprite (not diet), dash of ground mustard, dash of cinnamon, 1/4 c - 1/2 c honey, cook about 8 hrs on low

3. ham, apple pie filling, cinnamon, raisins, cook about 8 hrs on low.

My ham is not cooked, so a fully cooked ham would probably need less time. I have apples I need to be using up so am leaning toward #3

You could bake your cake in the CP! Seamyst has some great tips for baking on the other thread. I can't think of the title, but it's about Seamyst looking for input on new CPs. Lauri

I am tsked with the dessert, so I will make a cake, but I will get the reduced sugar mix from pillsbury, I will also take a veggie tray for snacking, family loves when I do that!

No cp needed here either.

I've been asked to bring a tossed salad to my aunt's for Easter dinner, so I guess I won't be crocking. Unless anyone has a crock pot tossed salad recipe?!? LOL. Seems a little counterproductive to me!

your comments on the tube biscuits makes me laugh. I would love to be able to make biscuits and have many people try to teach me, but mine come out just plain horrible.....my kids love gravy biscuits for breakfast, but I also don't like gravy so Sun. a.m. when they were young the deal was if they got up and ready on time for church without fussing, then we would go to Hardee's or McD's so they could have their biscuits/gravy - worked like a charm.

My turn for cooking the meal has not come yet, we go to my mothers for all family holidays, there we get together with my brothers, they are not married and the one that is married does not come. So for now no crockpot cooking for me for holidays. I would never have thought to cook a ham in a crockpot!

Hi Seamyst, glad to see you posting again! Like you, I'm going to have a ham in 1 crockpot, but I'm going to do sweet potatoes in the other. Nothing says "holiday" to me more than sweet potatoes & tube biscuits (Mom wasn't a great cook)
