I think I am my own best motivator, but having a big support network is very important. My cousin and I have lunch together a few times a week and congratulate and encourage each other a lot. My fiancee has been incredibly supportive without being pushy (which is a fine line I think). I've tried lots of things in the year and a half it's taken to lose 30 lbs, but I find relying on myself for motivation is most effective for me.
