You can start with just 10 minutes a day. I like to begin my day with meditation. Get in a quiet place. You do not have to sit cross legged. Especially if you are out of shape. I sit in a chair. You can also stand or lay down, if you don't have a tendancy to fall asleep. Breathe deeply. Concentrate on your breathing. If thoughts are racing through your mind, trying focusing on the word OM or saying it out loud. Or you could concentrate on the word peace. I chant a mantra, but that's not for everybody. (Contact me if you'd like more info on that.)Then you just continue breathing. 10 minutes can make a world of difference. Try to continue every day. Because it's the practice of it over time that makes the difference. Sometimes things come in to my mind or pictures that have meaning and I write them down when I am finished. I hope this is helpful to someone. Also, here is a site to check out, as Leslie has prompted me to share a site.
