Thanks, Lainie! What I love about the results (CONGRATS, W82GOWHEE!) is that last night I typed "12," and there wasn't a single other thing that I could think of to put down. I sat there going over my day and finally said, "nope, 11 it is." I'm so glad! It's much more fun to share.

Thanks for this challenge, Lainie. It was a lot of fun to see what everyone was doing and to see all the positives people were racking up in a day. Congrats to everyone for seeking and finding all the positive parts of your day!

1. I made today great by finishing my bootcamp team having completed all the videos and all but one challenge (the one about posting a blog)
2. I made today great by going on a bicycle ride with my son, our first ever since he just learned how to ride.
3. I made today great by staying hydrated well all day.
4. I made today great by sticking to my nutrition goals.

6. I made today great by being active on SparkPeople while being active in my home and work life.

i got to meditate for 15 minutes this morning
i accomplished all the errands i had for the day
i mailed what i had to mail
i went for a long walk
i did about 100 crunches
i got to journal for about 20 minutes this morning
i got to read 10 pages in an inspirational book
i listened to some relaxing music
i listened to some upbeat music
i got to sort out some laundry for later in the week

I'm having a positively great day because
1. I walked over 4 miles in an hour this morning.
2. The sunshine is bright and the sky is brilliant blue.
3. Kitties are lounging in the sunshine.
4. I've eaten 5 servings of fruits and veggies already.
5. I'm setting good goals for February and working on them already.
6. I read some inspiring words this morning.
7. I'm still de-cluttering and taking notice of my progress.
8. I'm drinking lots of water.
9. I'm trying a new food today.
10. My sleep schedule is almost back to normal.
11. I've had a good month this January and February will be even better!
12. This challenge has helped me focus on being positive--thanks Lainie!

I had a great day because
1. I got enough sleep last night.
2. I ate healthful foods all day and I can really tell a difference when I'm extra careful with my eating.
3. I had a good cardio workout.
4. I enjoyed a strengthening and calming yoga class.
5. DH and I made an important financial move we've been stressed about and we're glad it's done.
6. I used my bags at the grocery store.
7. I bought a new food to try.
8. I found a replacement for an old lamp shade.
9. The clouds and blue sky were stunning all day.
10. I got the road salt washed off my car.

Hi everyone!

I had a great day:
1. I completed all the tasks I set myself to do today [including posting this list!].
2. I broke my pattern of coming home from work, sitting on the couch and watching TV, and falling asleep. I did a 10-minute exercise video when I got home, which game a boost of energy. Yay!
3. I burned a lot of calories on the elliptical this morning [my personal highest in 30 minutes].
4. My boss complimented me and said I was looking thin! :)
5. I washed all the dishes before I left for work.
6. I feel in total control of my eating and actions.

1. I got my car serviced.
2. DH and I dropped off recyclables.
3. We also made a book donation (de-cluttering!) to the library.
4. I got my piano tuned.
5. I made time for cardio and Pilates workouts.
6. Brothers and I have a plan for house remodeling.

8. I got more files de-cluttered.

the snow was cleared from the sidewalks
i got in my cardio workout

i finished doing the crossword puzzles in each paper

Today has been great because

I got a new haircut (I love it)
I did my strength training
I walked 30 minutes outside (shorter than usual, but still)
I earned over 2000 walking minutes for this month (challenge complete!)
I worked out 20 days this month (challenge complete!)
I've already met most of my goals for January
I did the laundry
I spent a LOT of time with my son just talking
I worked on setting goals for February
I made this list!

This has been a great day because
It snowed this morning and it was beautiful!
I had a great cardio workout and felt energized.
The icky mood I was in yesterday is all gone.
I've eaten 7 servings of fruits and veggies.
My yoga practice was challenging and calming.
I took a few moments to meditate.
I got some major de-cluttering done.
I've reached most of my January goals.

Today has been great because
I got 10 login points three days in a row
I walked the doggies for 1.5 hours
I got medication for one of my dogs that will change his life in a good way
I ate only when I was hungry
I ate delicious food
I tracked my food and exercise
I returned phone calls I was putting off
I straightened up the house and was happy that it only takes a few minutes instead of hours now
I made this list!

Today has been a really positive day because
I have eaten lots of fruits and veggies.

I enjoyed my yoga practice and meditation with my kitty.
I feel positive about my resolve and ability to continue healthy lifestyle habits.

Today has been great because

I lost yet another pound!
I said "today I am a fabulous 10" and then got 10 points on the SP login (two days in a row)
My DH is feeling much better
My sick dog was well enough to go with us today
I did the 5K dog walk with both dogs, my son and granddaughter
I ate only when I was hungry
I ate food that I really like until I was satisfied
I did not eat while at my desk, the tv, or kitchen
I tracked my food and exercise
I returned phone calls I was putting off
I had a wonderful day!!!

DH and I changed our computer set-up and it works much better now.
I walked our trail even though I didn't want to;-).
I've eaten healthful foods today.
I spent time writing in my journal.
I got some bird records posted online.
I made a new toy for our little kitty and he's wild about it.
I've had a mostly pleasant, quiet day.

That means I met my monthly goal

I put the trash barrel out for pick up and brought it in
I fetched my DH's prescription -- he's sick
I took one of my dogs to the vet -- he's sick too
I played with my healthy dog so she wouldn't feel left out
I ate according to my hunger instead of the clock
I ate only delicious food until I was satisfied
I did not eat while at my desk, the tv, or kitchen
I made up strength training that I missed yesterday
I stretched and did some basic yoga
I tracked my food and exercise
I got most all available spark points
I walked on the treadmill for 45 minutes
I responded to as many threads as I could
I've got homemade split pea soup cooking in the crockpot
I had a relatively happy day
I made this list!

I had a headache this morning and did not feel like doing anything. Then, I put on some upbeat music and turned my day around

I made my bed and straightened the bedroom
I washed all the mirrors in both bathrooms
I put all the dishes away and cleaned the kitchen
I put a pot roast in the crock pot for dinner
I did three loads of laundry and put it away
I did my ironing
I joined two new Spark Teams and quit some that were not for me
I set out our clothes for tomorrow
I emptied all the trash cans
I organized DH's clothes for clearing out some
I got DH to sort his clothes,
I sent some upbeat emails to my friends
I made banana muffins for DH
I wore attractive clothes instead of baggy ones
I heard from my best friend right after thinking about her
I ate according to my hunger instead of the clock
I ate what I wanted and stopped when no longer hungry
I ate only delicious food
I threw out the food I did not want instead of eating it
I did not eat while at my desk, the tv, or kitchen
I tracked my food and exercise
I ordered some inspirational books and CD's
I made this list!

Today is a great day because
I've already eaten 6 servings of fruits and veggies and still have supper to go!
I walked our trail with DH and DDoggie!
My trap muscle that was so sore yesterday feels much better.
I figured out a logic puzzle that was driving me nuts!
I'm almost free of this cold.
I feel better than I have all week.
DH and I have a special outing planned tonight.
I feel calm and happy.
I've gotten several nice comments and goodies from very nice people lately!

today has been a positive day because
1. my cold is much better
2. i was able to fetch 2 boxes from the locker for an elderly neighbor
3. i was able to complete my 15 minutes of meditation this morning
4. i had an hour and a half cardio workout today
5. i completed 100 crunches
6. i finished reading 20 pages in the inspirational book i am reading
7. i spent some time with my family

Today has been a positive day because
My cold symptoms are lessening.
I bundled up and went out for an hour-long walk in the snow.
The snow sparkling in the sunshine and contrasting with the green moss and brown leaves was beautiful.
I spent some time meditating while I walked.
I took time to do several yoga poses.
I ate healthful foods and drank lots of water.
I've eaten so much citrus and garlic that the cold will surely go away and no vampires will visit!

Today I feel positive because
I'm less congested than I was yesterday.
I've consumed healthful foods and lots of water.
I had a good strength-training workout.
I'm almost recovered from the yoga class that nearly killed me Friday!
I got some important tasks done.
I enjoyed watching lovely snow fogging down.
We have a new president and new energy for the future.
I was inspired by Mr. Obama's speech and hope we can pull together as a nation and a people.

I walked 4 miles in less than an hour.

Yesterday was a great:
1. I went out for dinner and ordered a HEALTHY meal and it was DELICIOUS!

1. I went for a walk with a coworker to pick up his food, and I played a game with myself -- seeing cookies, chips, etc. at the counter -- and I took a step outside myself and OBSERVED how I was feeling. And I actually sort of laughed at that desperate, silly inner beast that wanted those things.

I haven't been posting on here for a few days, so I'm catching up and unloading my journal:

Wed. 1.14.09
I had a great day:
1. I resisted "peer pressure" to eat unhealthy/off plan. Everyone at work was ordering some (very delicious, but high in calories/fat) soup from a restaurant that we all love. And I just got off the phone with an unpleasant and frustrating client. My boss asks me, "Well, after dealing with him, don't you want to reward yourself?" I said "My reward is to not let him get to me and sabotage my goals." I CHOSE to eat what I brought with me for lunch, and I was satisfied.
2. I visited relatives that I didn't see at Christmas, and it was so nice to see them.
3. I started a 2-day streak of taking my vitamins.

Today was great because
I ate nutritious foods.
I drank lots of water.
I walked and ran and turned all red!
I had a challenging yoga class.
I got the last of this week's utilities business done (whew).
Our chickens didn't freeze last night.
We had fresh deviled eggs.
I learned a new word.
I helped DH with computer stuff.
I felt happy and positive, even in the extreme cold!
I enjoy reading other people's positive statements!

Today is a positive day (wow, Jenny421...you had quite a day) because:
Power walked 3 miles
Stayed within my allotted points
Completed today's boot camp
Worked in the yard (it's in the 70s here)
Cleaned the laundry room (moved the washer & dryer)
Started a new book
Bought spring training tickets
Tracked my food
Stayed positive all day

this is a positive day because
i completed my laundry
i spent time with my daughter
i spent time with my pet birds
i heard from some of my friends and family
i got my grocery shopping done
i made it to my doctor's appointment on time
i read 10 more pages in a book i just started
i journaled for a half hour
i went for a long walk
i did about 100 crunches
i put away the groceries
i meditated for about 15 minutes
i watched a new episode of csi
i watched a new episode of y & r
i watched the first period of a hockey game
i watched some dora,diego and the wiggles with my daughter

This is a positive day because
I had a long chat with my friend at the gym.
I had a long, relatively easy workout.
Our kitties were curled up together with their arms around each other.
I can't remember thinking a negative thought!
I've eaten nutritious foods today.
The sun was shining today and the night will be very cold, great for cuddling with my DH!

Today was a positive day:
1. I feel great. I had a fever and chills yesterday...I took Airborne, thought positively, and all symptoms have disappeared.
2. I was able to push myself through positive visualization to wake up early and exercise.
3. My husband complimented me and said I look fit...and I really feel fit, too.
4. I called family members that I didn't see at Christmas and made plans to come see them tomorrow night after work.

I feel good about today because
I had to go to a lawyer's office, property assessor's office, register of deed's office, the electric company, and a rental property and didn't feel hassled--woohoo!
I ate 9 servings of fruits and veggies.
I took my first weight-lifting class of the year and everything seemed easy because of my holiday workouts!
I took some fresh eggs to my friend at the fitness center.
I enjoyed a rainbow of foods today, including red strawberries, orange orange, pink grapefruit, yellow eggs, green kale, purple grapes and eggplant.
We got a little snow today so I got all excited!
I've built a nice fire for kitties and DH when he gets home.
I wrote in my journal and got caught up.
I got to post all this in Positive Sparkers!

- completed boot camp video
- did circuit at Curves
- shopped for healthy fresh foods
- didn't munch in between meals
- got some sun by puttering outdoors
- scrubbed the floors
- decluttered one drawer
- thought only positive thoughts

i feel positive today because:
i made some much needed phone calls and it was not hard to do,after all
i went for a long walk this morning
i looked after my pet birds
i sorted my laundry
i got to hear from two of my dearest friends and we are meeting up this week
i got to finish reading an amazing book
i picked up some holds i was waiting for at the library
i got to talk to a friend i had not heard from for a long time
i received a christmas card from one of my friends who lives overseas
i got to do some more of the puzzle i started yesterday
