I'm at about 60% my body weight for squats, 70% for deadlifts. Depends on how many sets/reps though. My max is higher than that, obviously.

okay, so i'm nearing the end of stage 1. i've really enjoyed it and am looking forward to stage 2. i've been sharing my successes with some guys i'm friends with who i know lift weights. most of them have been very impressed with me, even though they lift WAY more than i do. they are also bigger and have been lifting for longer than me.
anyway, one guy was a bit critical of how much i was lifting. just wondering how much people can lift in terms of % of body weight. i'm currently squatting and deadlifting about 50% of my body weight. this is after only about 6 weeks of lifting free weights (previously only did machines).
