I have trouble deciding on good ab exercises too. For ball crunches, it's a little awkward but extending the weight over the head with arms straight makes it much more challenging than holding a plate to the chest. I usually just use a 10 lb dumbell..

Just a couple of days ago I read an article about Lou Schuler's new book:

I would be interested in this, too! These crunches felt difficult the first day I did them, but now they are too easy. I am just adding more reps. for now.

I just cannot make these challenging AT ALL. I've added up to 35 lbs and all that does is throws me off, but I still feel NOTHING. I wonder, could I just do regular crunches?
