There's different types of deadlifts. Standard ones, where you bend your knees (see p165) and Romanian deadlifts, where you keep your legs straight (see p168). The Romanian ones put more emphasis on your hamstrings and back.
I noticed that after my first B workout my arms and back are really sore from the deadlifts!
wow, I just youtubed deadlifts and I thought from the book that your legs were supposed to be straight the whole time, but youtube instructions have you bending your knees to do it. I guess I've been doing it wrong all this time?
youtube is a great place to check out stuff.

Hello all, I just started the program and so excited to find this team! I completed first workout of exercise B, on phase 1. I am confused. What is the deal with deadlift? How is it different from the squads? my upper body is sore, but no pain on my legs? Am I doing something wrong?
