And I'm finally done with Stage 7! Only went through it once - now I'm onto the NROL original version. W00t! I really liked the set up of stage 7 - they are INTENSE workouts! 4 sets of 15-20 is no joke.
We did the first workout for this stage on Sunday and we're still feeling it. My legs are dead. It was pretty brutal. We've decided to cut down to 2 workouts per week since they are so intense, compounded by the fact that we're getting into double digit training runs for our half marathon AND we're moving in a couple weeks. Just have a lot going on.
Just finished my 6th workout in Stage 7 and doing it all one more time doing Workout 1 again yesterday. I can say that's I've made great progress. The first time I did Workout 1, it kicked my butt (really, my butt was sore for 2 days afterwards)...This time, I found it much easier to finish the 4 sets of the B section of the workout. 5 more workouts to go. Then, it's a bit of a break and then on to Rachel Cosgrove's Female Body Breakthrough.
I'm starting with the "Dial It In" Stage. It seems her "Fine Tune" stage requires you to be able to do at least 6 (assisted) chin-ups. Whew!
Started Workout 1 of Stage 7 today. VERY TOUGH workout. This one's no joke. I chose weights that were WAY too heavy for the high number of reps and sets. Now, I know better. I only could do 10 reps by set 4 because the weights I chose for sets 1 and 2 were too heavy. Be aware of this when you start this stage. You've never done 4 sets of 15 reps before in the NROWL workouts, so adjust accordingly.
