Not sure if I am "in" the program, but I read and re-read this book, and I lift at least twice a week in addition to two swim days. I never really followed the stages, but I try to follow other rules -- never lift two days in a row, more protein intake, don't do Barbie weights but lift as much as I can in good form, etc...
I love lifting, and I love what it does to my body. I lost ten pounds in 10 months, and the muscle tone... I think I will keep going with this program!
