Hi Everyone!
I just started the first workout today. Added some HIIT intervals on the treadmill. I was sweating like a pig! It was GOOD!
I feel like I should be doing more than just the few exercises! Seems almost too easy. I guess I need to up my weights! I definitely need to focus on the nutrition side of thins. I bought the Female Body Breakthrough last week, but decided I liked NROL4W better!

Thanks! I love the program too, although my eating is not as disciplined as it could be. I am in Phase one and just finished 4B workout yesterday. I am definitely stronger and will measure and weigh myself tomorrow to see if I am smaller.
I added some HIIT --20-30 mins after each workout. Works up a nice little sweat!

Welcome, of course you can!!!!

I've actually switched over to the Turbulence Training program, but's it's VERY similar, pretty much the same format.

NROLFW is a fantastic program!

Well.....I was going to do extra cardio today, but I did a step workout yesterday morning, and then my NROLFW workout that same evening, and my body said NOOOOO to cardio for today. So I just did a 30 minute walk outside.

You're already ahead of me as I generally don't do well working out on the weekends. Where I started the first workout late last week, I only just did workout 1B yesterday!

Tomorrow its workout 2A....so I still hafta do 15 reps! Darn!

EXACTLY! I feel really weird on non lifting days too! I think I'm going to start adding cardio on my off days though, just because I want to boost my calorie burn a little bit on inbetween days. And as for adding extra things, like you said you were going to do, It said in the book that as long as you ask yourself "do I really want to do this" and if the answer is no, then you go home, and if the answer is yes, then you can go ahead and do it! That is the rule I'm trying to go by. When I first started, I was so burnt out from my past workouts, that doing anything after NROWL seemed like too much. But now that I've gotten into it a bit more, and have settled down a tad, I'm ready to throw back in the cardio too.
So how are the workouts going for you? I'm doing my 3rd A workout tomorrow night, and I'm excited to up the weights a bit, and do only 12 reps instead!

I hear you on the short workout time, I wonder if they get a little longer. I'm used to working out with Cathe Friedrich DVDs and her weight training workouts typically last an hour! Still when I walked back upstairs after the workout yesterday, my legs were kinda jello'y.

I confess I added an extra exercise, 2 sets of skull crushers at 8 reps each. I read somewhere that Alwyn lets his clients tack on a few extra isolation exercises at the end of the workout if they want to. I think with workout A I'll do that for my triceps, and with workout B I'll tack on some bicep curls.

What's weird is that today I'm supposed to do no exercise?!!? It doesn't seem right not to do cardio!

Enjoy your weekend, and your Margaritas! emoticon

Yaaay! I'm so excited you're starting too! I love the workouts so far, and yes it is a bit confusing to figure out, but I think I have it down. (at least the first stage which is what counts right now right? lol) I'm going to be doing my 3rd workout tonight, which will finish out my first week. They made me quite sore, surprisingly, because it took much less time than the previous weight workouts I've been doing. I am loving that! Let me know how it goes for you! (and yes, I read the book as fast as I could too, cuz its just that good and I wanted to start right away!!)
Have a wonderful weekend :)

How's it going so far? I bought the book on a whim the other night and finished reading it yesterday (read it as fast as possible!). The most time-consuming part was figuring out how the workouts are scheduled/programmed!

I'm having a pre-workout meal and will do my first workout in the next little while. I'm soooo excited!!!

I have just bought the book and after speed reading it over the weekend, cannot wait!! to start the first workout of Stage 1 tonight! I was wondering if there was anyone out there who was starting now or close to now? So I would have someone to be accountable to? It would be great to have others doing the same things as me and we could chat about how things are going, results we're getting or not getting, and anything that we might be confused about reguarding the workouts? I would love to see if anyone else out there is willing to give the next six months a shot with me??
